New PvE MMORPG will be released in just 2 weeks - relies on the subscription model, which will be even cheaper in 2022 than next year

A lot happened in MMORPGs this week. WoW Classic rolled out its new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, and PvE hope Embers Adrift has a release date. We at MeinMMO give you an overview in the weekly review.

The highlights of the week:

The excitement of the week: The well-known sandbox MMORPG Black Desert showed some new content in a trailer. It also includes a fast travel feature, which many fans don’t like at all.

The discussion of the week: NCSoft showed the highlights of the internal beta of the MMORPG hope Throne and Liberty in a video. But it is precisely this video that triggers mixed feelings among fans.

You can watch the video from the beta right here:

This is what happened in the big MMORPGs:

This is what happened with the small MMORPGs:

  • Aion originally came out in the West back in 2009. For people who want to experience the MMORPG grandpa again as before, a classic version will come to us in Germany shortly. This has been running in America since June 2021 and is based on a mixture of cash shop and Pay2Play.
  • Also on Tuesday, the sci-fi MMORPG Dual Universe was released with a spectacular launch trailer.
  • Lord of the Rings Online is currently giving away some quest packages again before the mini-update “Before the Shadow” is supposed to expand the story (via mmorpg.com).
  • Tower of Fantasy will bring a new character as early as October 6th, which will also bring new events (via massivelyop).
  • Phantasy Star Online 2 will raise its maximum level in October and will also introduce a new zone to go with it (via massivelyop).
  • Blade & Soul is introducing some new content set for release on October 12th. The musician’s new class will be there (via mmorpg.com).

The newest class in Lost Ark becomes a kind of Ironman with laser weapons and drone. Check them out in the trailer:

Embers Adrift has a release date and Fractured fixes bugs

This is what happened with the MMORPGs in development:

  • Fractured Online started early access in mid-September and initially had to struggle with a few problems. The developers are currently fixing a lot of bugs and adding patches every few days (via mmorpg.com).
  • Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen ran a new pre-alpha phase on Saturday and Sunday. This starts with a few days delay and was actually planned for September (via massivelyop).
  • The PvE hope Embers Adrift starts on October 15th and gets its launch for everyone. The MMORPG is sticking to its subscription model, but those who subscribe this year will have it cheaper (via massivelyop). Our editor Alexander Leitsch has been playing the MMORPG for some time and shares his assessment with you.
  • The Tiny-MORPG Book of Travels faced many setbacks. Nevertheless, updates for the game in Early Access continue to come. Most recently, the developers added WASD control and new controller features (via massivelyop).

That was the MMORPG news of the week at a glance. What is your personal highlight? Did you experience anything else interesting this week? Or have we perhaps forgotten something important? Write it to us in the comments here at MeinMMO.
