WoW: A storm is brewing over Stormwind!
The pre-event of WoW: Dragonflight casts its shadow – in the truest sense of the word. For over Stormwind dark clouds seem to be brewing, which seem to indicate the arrival of the elementals.
In a few weeks, the next WoW expansion will be released on November 29, 2022 with Dragonflight. A special event will herald the arrival of the Dracthyr in Azeroth as part of the pre-patch starting November 16, 2022, and it seems we’re already beginning to feel the first changes to come. Something is clearly brewing over Stormwind and Goldshire.
As noted by Reddit user feleaodt, the sky looks over Stormwind

meanwhile namely clearly more gloomy than before. Brides are over Stormwind…a Stormwind together?! (Forgive the silly pun ^^) Dark clouds are gathering over the Alliance capital while the downpours are also increasing in intensity – all just days before the Dragonflight pre-event is set to officially kick off.
Is the weather changing as a harbinger of Raszageth’s return?
Other fans confirm feleaodt’s observations and also report urgent weather effects in Goldhain. It is therefore reasonable to assume that these weather changes are related to the elemental storms that are supposed to break over Azeroth during the pre-event. That is when Raszageth, the Storm Eater, will escape from her prison on the Dragon Isles, and the elementals will invade Azeroth.
However, there are also doubts about the theory that the weather effects are related to the pre-event. Although many fans confirm that they have never experienced the dark rain clouds and fog in Stormwind in this form before, a user named lurkerlarry42069 writes that the rain and fog were already present before the pre-patch. So we can’t say for sure if the weather in Stormwind really has changed due to the upcoming elemental storms, but the effects are nice to look at, don’t you think? Write it to us in the comments!
