Myst is coming to Xbox for the first time on August 26 with Xbox Game Pass

Travel to Myst Island and other stunning locations called Ages and begin to unravel the mystery you’ve been thrust into. We are delighted to announce that our new reimagined version of Myst will come to Xbox One, Xbox Series X | Yes, Windows 10 PC and with Xbox Game Pass on August 26.

Myst it’s packed with new illustrations, sounds, interactions, and, for those familiar with the game, optional puzzle randomization. For the first time in By Myst story, you will be able to enjoy the game in many different languages ​​through the localized user interface, including dialogue and subtitles from the context of the game. We have also incorporated a variety of accessibility options to aid in the game.

Were built Myst from the ground up to look stunning and perform amazingly on a variety of game systems. One of the technical features that we have used to achieve this is AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. This allows us to increase the quality of the graphics much more than we normally could. Thanks to FSR, Myst ican runs smoothly in 4K at 60fps on Xbox Series X at the highest graphics settings across the board, and at 1440p at 60fps on Xbox Series S.

With FSR, we effectively lowered the game’s screen percentage in the background, then allowed the supersampling process to sharpen the image. There are a few minor differences in the way the game looks at native 4K resolution without display percentage adjustments, but overall, FSR provides a nearly 75% performance boost on Xbox Series X | S on a 4K screen, without sacrificing much visual fidelity at all.
