Crash Bandicoot: Supposedly new game in the works, but different than expected

It’s been almost two years since Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was released as the last game in the popular series. But it looks like Crash fans won’t have to wait too long until further replenishment hits. According to current rumours, there is already a new game in the development. However, the next title seems to take a slightly different path.

Crash Bandicoot with a difference

The rumor comes from the well-known leaker and industry insider Jez Corden. In the most recent edition of the “Windows Central Gaming” podcast, he came up with the brand, among other things Crash Bandicoot to speak. According to him, the development studio Toys for Bob is said to be working on a new game in the series. However, it should not be a title based on the well-known model, but a pure multiplayer project.

Toys for Bob is reportedly working on one four-player brawler in the Crash Bandicoot universe with many familiar characters. According to Jez Corden, it could an official announcement of the game is imminent. A possible stage for this would be the Summer Game Fest 2022. Its starting signal will be given on June 9 at 8:00 p.m. German time, so this Thursday. We might be a little smarter then.
