CoD Modern Warfare 2 Beta: Everything you need to know before release

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 casts its shadow ahead and for years this has included a multiplayer beta before release. We now have the first information on this and it looks like everything will remain the same: Those who pre-order can lend a hand first and everyone with a PS4 and PS5 will also be allowed in. But an open beta for everyone will also take place afterwards as usual. The first gameplay trailer is also available.

Nothing new in the West: The eternal cycle of life, uh, the annual cycle of the CoD release runs as usual. First there is the reveal of the campaign, then a multiplayer event and a playable alpha for select people. This is followed by the classic beta phase, which will be rolled out first on PlayStation and for pre-orders. Then everyone else is allowed to and then the new Call of Duty will appear. Nothing will change this year either.

This is how the beta works: You can already pre-order Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for early access to the Open Beta. The latest Activision shooter is then set to release on October 28th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC if all goes as planned.
- First allowed Pre-orders on PS4 and PS5 play the beta.
- After that are all with a PlayStation turn, even without a preorder.
- Then they come too Pre-orders on other platforms added.
- Last but not least allowed Everyone try the beta, even without pre-orders.

When does the beta start? There is no exact date for the start of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 open beta yet, but since the release date is October 28th and it has always been that way for the past few years, the beta should be around the beginning of September or the end of August go off (via: comic book). As soon as we know more, we’ll update this article.
