Monster Harvest

Update n. 2 [Thu 5th Aug, 2021 00:55 BST]: You might find it hard to believe, but Monster Harvest has been delayed for the third time in a row.

Merge Games and Maple Powered Games now promise that the next farming simulation and creature collector adventure will arrive on August 31, on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.

Here’s a message from the team, explaining why the game has been delayed again:

We know you will be disappointed and we do not make these decisions lightly. There was one final development hurdle to overcome that didn’t quite work and it took a bit of backtracking to deliver exactly what we want players to experience. There is a wonderful community that has sprung up around Monster Harvest And we absolutely want to do the right thing on the part of the community, even when it means making what could be a disappointing decision.

The Steam demo is still there and available to play! Your progress in the demo will carry over to the full game, although you may want to consider starting over and taking advantage of the improvements and fixes added at that time.

Thank you so much for your continued support and patience as we make sure Planimal Point is ready for your arrival!

Update n. 1 [Tue 8th Jun, 2021 00:55 BST]: Following the original delay, pushing the May game to a July release, Monster Harvest has now been delayed again. Its physical and digital launch will arrive now August 19.

Developer Maple Powered Games has shared the following statement, explaining how they want the game to ship in the “best possible way”:

“The delays are terrible, we’re sorry to disappoint our friends and fans, but we want to make sure we ship Monster Harvest in the best possible way for our entire community to enjoy. We realized how important it is to ensure high-quality support for as many regions as possible from launch day, even if that means having to push back our release date by just over a month. We will ship the game before August 19, no more days and it will be worth it when we show you what we have in store for you. “

Original story [Fri 23rd Apr, 2021 00:55 BST]: Game delays have become increasingly common over the past year, and today publisher Merge Games is adding another to the heap of releases that won’t arrive in time.

Yes, for all who want Monster HarvestWith its arrival next month on May 13, the digital release of this Stardew Valley x Pokémon-style game has now moved to July 8. Physical versions have also been rejected The North American launch will arrive on July 20 and the European launch on July 23.

The reason behind this delay is apparently due to the “wonderful community feedback” during the beta:

“First, the bad news. The train to Planimal Point is slightly delayed and we’ve moved Monster Harvest to July 8. We ran a closed beta and got wonderful feedback from our testers, but we made the decision that we wanted to increase the amount of content based on those feedback. So while we’re sorry to delay your trip to Planimal Point, the good news is that we’re very excited to bring you a game with some great additions at launch!

This additional content at launch will include a dungeon minimap, variant dungeon rooms (with rare and unique encounters), unlockable Planimal attacks, more crop variations, new city additions (including an NPC and relationship overhaul), size of Expanded farm, more structured goals and rewards, and a new female character model.
