TO: The Xbox One X enhanced version of Hellblade was great, but move to Xbox Series X | S allows us to push the limits of what we can do with the game. Our starting point was putting everything on maximum settings, then making adjustments and additions from there. We were pleasantly surprised by how well we were able to make this game look and run on Xbox Series X | S; the end result is even better than we expected when we set out to make this update.

TO: Senua’s Journey is a cinematic experience, so the visual enhancements will really increase the immersion and bring the world of Helheim to life in a way we haven’t been able to do before on console. Ray-traced reflections bring new depth to environments, from the torch-lit corridors of Hela’s domain to the spectacular beaches of the Shipwreck Coast.

Q: How do you expect fans of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will respond when played on Xbox Series X | S with these improvements?

TO: Personally, I am very excited to see how talented virtual photographers who have been active in our community present these enhancements in their future work. I am always impressed by the impressive shots we share with us on social media; I can’t wait to see what they can do with this new version of the game and the visual improvements we’ve added.

Q: What improvement were you most excited about exploring leveraging Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on Xbox Series X | Yes

A: We are delighted to bring ray tracing to Xbox Series X | S. I’ve been playing in Enriched Visuals mode again, and the ray tracing reflections are awesome, it’s really amazing what the team has been able to do.

TO: Smart Delivery makes this update really simple. Players with an Xbox Series X | S will automatically get the new optimized update and are ready to enjoy all the new features.
