Dragon Ball FighterZ just got an “absolutely huge” patch

Although Goku is coming to Nintendo Switch in a new game this September, Bandai Namco is still showing support for the 2018 release. Dragon ball fighterz.
Version 1.28 has just been released and this “absolutely massive” patch (in the words of the ambassador and host of DBFZ @zDamascus) has excited the community quite a bit.
Pro Sports fighter Excuse me man He has also pointed out how important this update is:
“I have experienced every Dragon Ball Fighters patch from start to finish … when I saw these patch notes I thought what is happening, it is absolutely insane … you guys have to see for yourselves.”
This latest update comes in around 3GB on other platforms, but it’s unclear at this stage how big it is on Switch. It is the continuation of version 1.27, which was released earlier this year in January.

Dragon Ball FighterZ New Mechanics – August 10, 2021
- Cancellation of the Air Guard: Guard cancellations can now be performed in the air for the same cost as use on the ground.
- Guard Cancel Disappearance: By spending two meter bars, players can use a Vanish out of Guard Cancels. No assists or follow-ups can be made after the hit.
- Z shift: Z Change can be performed after any special at no meter cost.
- Floating state: Any attack that ends up in midair grants characters floating status for more mix and match options.
- Ki charge: Now deflects Ki Blasts at Frame 1 and can be performed after blocking a Ki Blast.
- Dragon Rush: It can be performed during a Ki charge by pressing medium attack.
- Sparkling Explosion: Can no longer be depleted during combos.
- Z assist: Chip Damage removed from some assists.
- Assistance Z type C: Longer recovery time between uses.
- EX Specials: The scale of the meter increase is now only dependent on time and not on the opponent’s status. Elongated spike during which the Ki Gauge scaling is applied.
- High jumps: New shortcut implemented by holding the single attack button while jumping.
- Super Attack Damage Scale: Reduced damage scale for attacks used after Supers, excluding Ultimate Z Changes (DHC).
- Jump heavy: The opponent is now pushed forward when there is camera movement. Fixed the Dragon Ball glitch.
- Heavy crouched (2H): Some characters have more active frames. Long time to air invincibility.
- Ki Blast Bypass: When any attack deflects a Ki Blast, other moves such as Super Dash and Z Reflect can be performed.
