What are you going to play this weekend? (August 14) – Talking Point
[ad_1]
Another week of that Nintendo life has passed, and there were certainly some highlights. There were all sorts of gems in the Indie World showcase, a gossipy comedian may have given up on a Mario movie character, while on the rumor front we have characters like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remastered supposedly in way. Oh, and there’s a Pokémon Presents on the way. Phew!
After a busy week, it’s time to relax and discuss our weekend game plans. Some mThe Embers of the Nintendo Life team have done exactly that below, so feel free to read our posts and then join yours via our comment section. Enjoy!

After an interview I conducted earlier this week (which music fans will definitely want to stay tuned for soon!), I felt an irresistible urge to return to Hades. I really enjoyed my time with him at launch, but embarrassingly never escaped. With the game finally releasing on other consoles, now seems like the perfect time to get back in the blood with Zagreus and company.
And beyond that, I’ve finally resorted to using an app to locate and mark the remaining 100 Korok lurking around Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I still wish Nintendo had released a Korok ‘suit’ that would help me focus on the seeds better than just wearing the mask, but it’s hard to complain too much at this stage. I’m not sure I’ve heard, but that game is per-ritty good. Definitely worth picking up on sale.

I am planning to dive into Necrobarista: End for, as his Indie World ad intrigued me and I still miss regular visits to coffee shops. In other parts of Switch, I keep crawling Chronicles of The Great Ace Attorney, so it looks like I’ll be reading a lot. I am also working through Last stop one episode at a time, which is nice; Maybe the fact that I’m playing games that are more about reading and watching betrays my march into middle age.
Outside of Switch games, I’m really enjoying it Death gate, which is wonderful, and will probably dive into Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to do some of the Irish DLC, because I am left behind in a full expansion.

I’ve been playing a new game! Garden Story was one of the surprise releases from the Nintendo Indie World storefront, and it was on it like the hood of a car. So far it’s delivering on its “healthy” promise, but it’s a bit slow in the first few hours so I’m excited to hear what’s coming next.
Also, now that I have finally finished my bulk reviews, I can go back to Morgana girl!!

I just finished a game of The frog the bell tolls for On the Game Boy, we made a video on the channel, so I won’t waste much time, it’s really good though! Many of its components lay the foundation for Link’s Awakening and I would love to see more people give it some love.
As for new releases, the latest Indie World has put a lot on my radar and Axiom Verge 2 was released out of nowhere. However, I haven’t finished the first game … I loved what I was playing, but other parts of life got in the way then. Maybe it’s time to go back before picking up the sequel.

Like many, I’m sure I’ll be playing Axiom Verge 2 this weekend. I loved the original, and I honestly have Thomas Happ to congratulate for taking so much risk with his sequel. It feels so different, and I have no doubt that it will be quite divisive. However, so far, it’s pretty good!
I’m also playing Mario Golf: Super Rush a bit. I quickly tried the New Donk City course the other day and found it a bit boring, but I’ll play it a bit more over the weekend and see if you change your mind. Have a good people!

Lately, I admit that I have been collecting 3DS games again, so my weekend plans will include playing Bravely Default, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D / A Link Between Worlds / Majora’s Mask 3Dand a random Japanese Tamagotchi game I found on Ebay (“Ouichi Mainichi”, or “Everyday House”?). Always looking for new old games to try, so if anyone has any suggestions, please leave them in the comments!
Of course, I can’t go a weekend without lifting my Switch a bit, and I’m very intrigued by Zion, Alex & Jon’s Ring Fit Adventure (s) … It’s been a while since I’ve played my copy of the game, and still I have to try this Zelda Rhythm mode with delicious sound, so I might as well do it on the weekend!
As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave us a comment below with your gaming options for the next few days …
