Introducing a new Fortnite experience: imposters

Will you ensure the safety of The Bridge or will you follow in Jones’s footsteps to enforce her disappearance? Everybody has a role to play Fortnite Imposters.

Impostors is a new Fortnite Experience in which players taking on the role of agents aim to maintain order in the top-secret facility of IO: The Bridge. An impostor (or two impostors in games with 8-10 players) seek to interrupt him.

Secure victory as an agent

It is up to the Agents of Imagined Order to keep The Bridge running at full capacity. Take part in unique tasks like clearing the battle bus, submitting storm reports, or smashing buttons on the arcade machine. Keep an eye out for eliminated allies as you complete their Assignments!

Complete your assignments quickly, agent. You never know which dubious imposters lurk in the shadows waiting to strike (or turn you into Peely). As you complete your assignments, keep an eye out for your eliminated allies. Find the fragment of an ally? Report it! Agents will then be called to the bridge to eradicate the imposter.

It is up to the crew to point out any suspicious behavior, but be vigilant! Any fellow agent could pose as an imposter.

Interrupt the flow like an impostor

Who is ready for a little mayhem? Imposters must do whatever it takes to stop the agents from protecting the bridge, before their true identity is revealed. Close assignments, move everyone around, and even throw a Peely party! These are all ways in which the imposter can alter the agents’ plans.

• Pause all assignment progress momentarily. Doing this will give you more time to take down The Bridge.
• Teleporting Players – The Good Change. Relocate all agents and imposters elsewhere on the bridge. This confusion should be enough to cover your steps.
• Peely Party – For a short time, turn all the agents and imposters into Peely, so you can blend in with the crowd and separate!

The imposters will also have a list of assignments to complete, if they want to gain the trust of the agents; But don’t be too diligent with your work. Completing assignments will bring agents closer to completing their objective.

Communication is key!

Communication is the key to ensuring a safe bridge, agent. While public voice chat is disabled for fair gameplay, you can still chat with your group in group chat and use the newly added Quick Chat and Emotes menu to communicate with your fellow agents (or imposters).

Select the “Private” option when queuing at Impostors if you only want to play with your group of friends. This option requires at least four players in your party to launch this custom version of Impostors. For the best experience, we recommend a full group of ten or fill your group in a public lobby.

Games of four to seven players will only have one imposter, while eight or more will result in two imposters to interrupt The Bridge. Also, you can change your party settings by selecting the gear icon in your friends list. Here are some options that can allow you to customize the number of players you let into your party.

Vote to get rid of the impostors!

Be sure to have group conversations to see how fellow agents are doing and discuss the infiltration efforts of the imposters. Discussions can be called by discovering and reporting the Deleted Agents, or by interacting with the Discussion panel in the central room of The Bridge. Agents and imposters can communicate with each other through Emoticons and the quick chat menu. It is up to the officers to ask the forceful questions and charge the correct suspect, before expelling him.

At the end of each discussion, agents and imposters will vote to kick someone out or skip the vote. Listen carefully to what your fellow agents are telling you, as they might be trying to trick you! If the player who voted out was actually an agent, then the imposters come one step closer to eliminating everyone and taking over The Bridge. (Note: Are you playing with a keyboard connected to your console? Players using AZERTY keyboards or non-default keybindings will need to join a Fortnite Impostors game to adjust their keybinding settings for this game mode.)
