Capcom has released version 3.3.1 of Monster hunter rise. As revealed yesterday, it includes another collaboration. This time it’s Monster Hunter x Street Fighter, allowing players to become Akuma, the famous fighting villain. This content will be unlocked on August 27, but the rest of this update is available now.
As usual there are additions and changes along with many bug fixes. You can see everything below, courtesy of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise website:
Important
- To use DLC and play online, you need to update Monster Hunter Rise to the latest version.
- – You can check which version you are in at the bottom right of the title screen.
- – Online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- If you don’t have internet access, you can play local multiplayer, as long as all players are using the same version of the software.
- – Visit the Nintendo support page for more information.

Base / Installation
- Fixed a bug that occasionally caused vents that can be activated during the “Arena 06” mission to appear in random locations instead of fixed locations.
Monsters
- Fixed a bug that caused Almudron’s mud to display at an angle to the ground.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented the player from being able to cast Somnacanth or Bishaten against a wall after Wyvern Riding if they were the minimum size.
- Fixed a bug that caused the player to be poisoned if Bishaten’s wings hit him during his jump attack if he was holding a parafruit with his tail.
- Changed monster sizes for certain missions.

Player
- Fixed a bug that caused an error to occur if the connection was lost or if the player left on a mission when a friend performed a combo or support action.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the cursor from speeding up when increasing the values for the size or position of certain body parts when changing the Advanced Settings on the Edit Character screen.
- Fixed a bug that caused the “Twin Ponytails” hairstyle to cut through the Lagombi Helm and Rathalos Helm.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally caused the appearance of the player character’s wrists to appear unnatural when equipping the floral sleeves.
- Fixed a bug that would occasionally cause the player’s Palamute to temporarily freeze when performing a synced combo with the player’s attacks if they had the Large Shuriken equipped.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally caused large barrel bombs to explode immediately after being placed.
- Fixed a bug in the amount of Spirit Gauge consumed when combining the Spirit Step Slash of the long sword into a Spirit Blade attack (Spirit Blade III or Dividing Slash).
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to wait for an input after pressing the button to perform the Long Sword Iai Spirit Slash.
- Reduced the frequency of Longsword Iai Spirit Slash’s follow-up attacks hitting Magnamalo’s torso despite the player attacking his front legs.
- Fixed a bug that caused the damage of other attacks to decrease after landing a certain number of consecutive hits with Heavenly Blade Dance of Dual Swords.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the 5th melody effect from showing in the log when activating 5 of the Hunting Horn melody effects at the same time.
- Fixed a bug that caused the pistol lance barrage to hit areas outside of the direction the player is facing if they perform the action while moving.
- Fixed a bug that prevented directional input from registering when using the spear’s ground divider after a certain number of actions.
- Fixed a bug that caused automatic screams to appear for single player only when hitting multiple players at once with support ammo (demon ammo / armor ammo / ammo recovery).
- Fixed a bug that prevented Bubbly Dance Level 3 from inflicting bubbleblight when the player makes an attack immediately after dodging with the bow.
Diverse
- Fixed a bug that caused the collected Sun Goddess images to remain on the screen if they were collected by another player during the loading screen when joining the “Rising Sun”. event search while already in progress.
- Fixed various text errors.
- Various other bug fixes have been made.
