Spiritfarer’s ‘Beverly Update’ Is Now Live, Adding A New Tiny Owl Character, More Recipes, And Additional Save Slots

Spiritfarer came out a year ago, which means that hopefully everyone who played it has stocked up on tears again after sobbing over the Alice the Hedgehog story. Be ready to cry again though, as the second of ThunderLotus’s character updates is here, and this is a little owl, are you kidding?
Ahem. The Spiritfarer Roadmap 2021 promised four new characters, and Lily, the giant fluffy ball of butterflies who happens to be an important person from his past, was added earlier this year, along with an improved co-op, more story content, and quality of life improvements. .
Now is the time for Beverly, another new spirit that needs to be transported to the afterlife, as well as new ship buildings, collectibles, and recipes. There are a lot more quality of life improvements too, so let’s take a look at the full patch notes:
Characteristics:
- New save system: you can now have 3 save spaces. [Click here for more information]
- New station – Archive room: A place where you can store and search old documents. Prime location to view treasure maps or acetates.
- Buck’s Lottery Littery Reviews: Special magazines containing a series of missions with treasure maps.
- Radio in the Living room: Hang out by the bar and listen to any of the songs on the soundtrack you’ve heard before.
- New spicy food It has been added:
- Laska: A delicious spicy noodle soup that will cure any cold.
- Milquetoast: It’s just moist bread.
- Flamin ‘Firebirdz: After a bag of these bad boys, you won’t even feel your face.
- Aloo Gobi: A flavored plant-based delight to boot.

Quality of life improvements:
- You can now keep track of materials needed for buildings, houses, stations, and improvements within the Captain’s record.
- Destination Queue – Select up to 3 points to explore in one trip.
- New “Safe journey”For travel, you automatically skip events during your next trip.
- You can enable and turn off music from Alex’s bus station.
- Optional in-game assistance for all Elena events when you fail.
- New field and garden visual effects and irrigation enhancement (quest rewards)
- Sitting in any chair at night now allows Stargazing mode, which hides the buildings and shows the starry night sky.
- Added more Stanley drawings!
- The “go to sleep” sequence is now faster.
- Small screen shakes when using the light burst skill.
- Documents in Inventory: New to Old, red appears on them to mark them as “new”.
- New game options available:
- Screenhake (scale 1-10)
- Controller vibrations (scale 1-10)
- Input source (direct input / raw input)
- Text bubble size (scale 1 to 10)
- Game running in the background (off / on)
- Improved build mode:
- Boat view mode: turn off the user interface to see your boat in its entirety.
- The star cursor should be larger and is now linked to the grid.
- When selecting a building, the cursor must be in the center of that building.
- Hovering over buildings displays their name in edit / upgrade mode.
- Small tweaks in the user interface:
- There is a “No Blueprint” text screen when attempting to upgrade buildings with no upgrades available.
- The “Build” button will now appear grayed out if you hover over a building that you cannot build.
Narrative improvements:
- He modified the narrative surrounding Stanley’s takeover of the guesthouse:
- A new mischief mission is unlocked, prompting the player to create a new guesthouse.
- Some spirits will complain about their lack of room. They will also show a “hates sleeping outside” mood handicap if they are forced to sleep outside.

The changes to Gustav’s story are coming in a patch very soon, sadly they missed the boat for this content update.
The next update, which is the most important, will be released sometime this fall, adding two new spirits, an entirely new island, new buildings and resources, and a new event. The Lily and Beverly update was released on time, so we anticipate the latest one will arrive in time as well.
