But you can also add DIY items that used to be scattered throughout your home in droves.

Permanent stairs

Players who are fed up with carrying a ladder everywhere on their islands can now set up permanent ladders using the Ladder Installation Kit Recipe found at Nook’s Cranny. After creating the wooden ladder installation kit, it’s easy – just place the kit near a cliff and a ladder will live there permanently. It is a good alternative to a slope: they take up a lot of space and you can also have a certain amount of them.

More slopes and bridges

Gone are the days when players were limited to eight bridges and inclines. Now, you can add a total of 10 of these to your island, in addition to all the permanent stairs you have as well.

Anyone visiting your island, for example, to sell turnips or catalog items, can leave Bells for 1,000. So, you are the only one who can withdraw.

Ordinances

Ordinances are different rules that make managing an island easier. There are four options: Beautiful Island Ordinance, Early Bird Ordinance, Night Owl Ordinance, and Bell Boom Ordinance. Each costs 20,000 bells, but they can get their residents to get up sooner or later, raise the prices for buying and selling items, and ask villagers to help tend the weeds.

Customization options

With the addition of Reese and Cyrus to Harv’s Island, customization is much easier. The best news is that these two can personalize any item purchased with NookMiles; this is useful because normally there is only one color option available through that store. To obtain the other colors, players must trade with others. Once Reese and Cyrus personalize an item, the color variant will be cataloged so that it can also be purchased later.
