Electronic Arts: EA Sports is apparently working on a Fight Night comeback

It’s been ten years since EA released Fight Night Champion, a new part of the boxing game series. According to current reports, a comeback now seems to be planned. The information from VGC and insider Tom Henderson, who recently wrote a prophetic tweet on the subject, said the new game had already received the green light from the publisher. However, it should still be in a very early phase of development.

An internal email to EA Canada employees stated that they would like to focus on EA Sports UFC 5 first. Only then do you devote yourself to the next fight night. Originally, both titles should be developed at the same time. Because they want to deliver high quality, EA Canada paused the development of Fight Night for the time being in order to deal fully with UFC 5. According to Tom Henderson, who has repeatedly established himself as a trustworthy source, the release of Fight Night should be a year away. The last offshoot of the series was Fight Night Champion, which was released in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is also available as part of EA Play and Xbox Game Pass.

By the way, EA only announced the return of Dead Space this year. A remake of the first horror game is currently in development at EA Motive. The release is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC at the end of 2022 at the earliest.
