Start playing Battlefield 2042 on November 12 with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play

Starting Friday, November 12, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members with EA Play can participate and start playing Battlefield 2042 With Early Access, a 10-hour trial that’s packed with iconic Battlefield game moments leading up to the game’s global launch on November 19, allowing you to play All-Out Warfare, Hazard Zone, and Battlefield Portal boosted game modes By the community.

Hazard Zone, for those of you who don’t know, is a brand new mode launching for the first time with Battlefield 2042 putting you in a small squad of four tasked with locating and recovering data units from crashed low-orbit satellites that are scattered across the battlefield. The challenge here is that you will face opposing squads with the same objective.

And it’s not just about trying to be the first team to recover your data drives; it’s also about being able to get to the extraction point with gathering your data drive before a massive storm enters the area, erasing everyone (if an enemy squad doesn’t do it first). Having recently played this new type of game, we found this game mode to have tremendous depth, where choosing the right combination of Specialist, weapons, gadgets, and Tactical Upgrades is key to survival. So we thought we could offer some helpful tips to help you and your team get started with Early Access for Battlefield 2042 starts on Friday, November 12.

Not everyone needs a data unit scanner

One of the most important (and free) pieces of equipment in Hazard Zone is the data unit scanner, which is used to scan the field and locate a data unit. Make sure to coordinate with your squad while on the pre-match gear screen to determine who You will be responsible for this task, because not everyone needs a data unit scanner; You must try to create the most balanced team to be successful in Hazard Zone. Establishing ownership of who oversees the Data Drive scan will allow the rest of your squad to free up their gear space for another useful piece of tech to go.

It’s okay to retire

It is very likely that you will find other teams fighting for the same Data Drive collection, be it squads of players or occupying forces controlled by the AI. While it can be tempting to fight an enemy team and wrest control of a data unit from them, there are plenty of other locations to choose from on the map. If the fight gets too hot, there is no shame in retreating to a different, less hostile location. Remind: Your goal here is data drives, not your kill streak, and you’ll get a higher net reward for the number you successfully mine.

Get to the last extraction point early

There are two extractions that occur during the match, but if your squad chooses to last until the last extraction with your data unit reward, it can create a tremendous (and fun!) Experience as everyone tries to board. the latest CV-38 Condor and fly to safety. In our experience, once you learn the location of the last extraction point, it’s best to prioritize getting there and establishing a solid defensive position to protect yourself from other squads. And don’t think that once you are inside the Condor you will be ready to go. Keep fighting until that counter hits 00:00, eliminating fire to keep those enemy squads at bay, destroying their last desperate attempt to safety. Cousin: If you repel these squads and there’s still time left, try grabbing your downed data drives to add to your collection.
