Saints Row: Release of the reboot was postponed for half a year

Fans of Saints Row (from 59,99€ at pre-order) have to wait a little longer for the series to reboot. How developer Volition on the website of the open-world action game, the title will no longer be released on February 25, 2022. Instead, a new date has been set for Saints Row on August 23, 2022. However, nothing will change on the platforms. The game continues to come to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC. In a statement, Chief Creative Officer Jim Boone commented on the reasons for the postponement.

Accordingly, Saints Row needs more time to not only meet the expected standards of Volition, but also the fans. In detail, it’s about optimizing the title. Almost nothing is changed at the core of the reboot. According to the person in charge, the creators have also underestimated the impact of the pandemic on the game’s schedule. Jim Boone regrets the later release – but promises that the wait will be worth it.
