But every day there are also a few nice stories in which other players unexpectedly received help or were simply the target of a selfless gesture.
This is exactly what has happened now – and it is creating a buzz on the World of Warcraft subreddit.
What happened? The Reddit user Percival91 opened a thread and showed the other WoW players what a nice encounter he had in the game. In the trade channel he asked: “I have to earn enough gold for a WoW brand and I still have 2 days. Is that feasible? “
The WoW mark is one of the possible means of payment with which the monthly game time can be paid for. If you have a lot of gold, you buy a token from other players and thus receive 30 days of game time.
Even for experienced players, an amount of 500,000 gold is almost impossible to achieve in 2 days.
Instead of getting tips, however, Percival91 received a group invitation. A little puzzled, he asks with a “yo whats up” what the reason for the invitation is.
From the short conversation it becomes clear: someone simply wants to give him the gold for the WoW brand. At first Percival91 thinks of a joke (“Are you pulling my leg, buddy?”), But a short time later he is taught otherwise.
500,000 gold change hands, along with the saying: “You are a jewel, go out there and shine brightly”. Percival 91 replies that he normally doesn’t pay with the WoW brand, but that he just couldn’t afford the game any other way in real life at the moment. He thanks and then the group is already broken up.
How much is that worth The value of 500,000 gold for each player varies, of course. For the vast majority of players, a lot of gold should mean many weeks of farming. Some people will never be able to accumulate such a sum in their entire WoW career.
In any case, a gift of over 500,000 gold is a pretty strong gesture – especially if you don’t expect anything in return. A single WoW brand currently costs around 220,000 gold pieces in America, while in Europe the price is 325,000 gold.
