Pokémon GO starts tomorrow season of origin – trainers suspect release of Arceus

In Pokémon GO tomorrow, December 1st, 2021, a new season starts, which is supposed to deal with the past and origins. In the social networks, the trainers speculate diligently about the content of this season. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at which monsters they are hoping for and explain why.

What season is it about? In Pokémon GO there are different seasons, which are known as seasons and usually extend over 3 months. The last one, the season of practical jokes, was all about the mysterious Pokémon Hoopa.

However, this season ends tomorrow, December 1st, 2021, and will be replaced by a new one. So far, not much is known about the new season. However, there were first indications on the official Twitter account.

The new season is called “Season of Origin” and should deal with the past. The article reads: “In the next Pokémon GO season we will look to the past for answers that will guide us into the future of Pokémon GO! Join us on our Pokémon GO adventure into the season of origin! “

What does the community suspect behind the “season of origin”?

Pokémon GO’s Twitter post sparked a lot of discussion and speculation among the community. This is mainly due to the fact that not much is known about the new season.

But even with the little information you have, some trainers are sure of what you can look forward to in the coming months.

Release of Arceus and monsters of the Hisui region

One of the most commonly suspected monsters is the mysterious Pokémon Arceus. The trainers have wanted this in Pokémon GO for a long time, but it has not yet been released.

In particular, the video, which is integrated in the Twitter post, connects some trainers with the so-called Hisui region, which corresponds to today’s Sinnoh region. The new game Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set in this region and the volcano on its cover picture also resembles the mountain in the video.

ChexSway writes: “Could this indicate Arceus special research? It would really surprise me if that happened since Arceus is the obvious candidate for EX raids (who are sure to come back). Maybe they could do both. It would be a shame to only get an Arceus because it is definitely a Pokémon that requires the most shape changes. ” (via reddit.com).

SpaceSage37 is also convinced that it is Legends: Arceus and writes: “The artwork and the name sound like the release of Legends Arceus. I keep my fingers crossed for at least one alternative form. ” (via reddit.com).

Reddit user mEatwaD390 is also sure: “It looks like Legends Arceus will definitely be tied into this season based on the font and phrase they gave. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got Hisuan Pokémon and Shapeshift Pokémon. ” (via reddit.com).

In addition, mEatwaD390 wants the legendary Pokémon Zygarde, which is also not yet in the game. In the following post we will show you which cute monsters the Hisui region has in store for you:

Pokémon is showing 4 new, cute monsters and I want them to be on Pokémon GO right away

Is an Arceus debut realistic?

Thematically, it would fit perfectly into the new season, because Arceus is also known as the creator Pokémon, which is said to have created the Pokémon world. In the Pokémon films, it is also linked to Palkia and Dialga, both of whom can already be caught in Pokémon GO.

In addition, Arceus is a shape shifter, so it can accept all 18 types. Since Niantic has recently offered the option of changing the shape of a monster in the game, this function would in principle also be possible with Arceus.

Arceus

And the release of the new game Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which is due to appear on the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022, could speak for an Arceus debut in Pokémon GO. That wouldn’t be the first time that Niantic’s in-game events are geared towards the release of new films or games from the Pokémon series.

Further assumptions about the “season of origin”

But in addition to a debut by Arceus, there are other assumptions in the reddit and Twitter community. Some trainers, such as QuvadesGaming, are convinced that the video is about typical places in Johto.

  • ProundV writes on Twitter: “It would be nice if you did a Johto tour like you did a Kanto tour earlier this year. With a publication of all Shinys by Johto. ” (via twitter.com).
  • ArcticVulpix explains on reddit: “This is Mountain Silver and the tin tower, so probably Johto” (via reddit.com).
  • And Mylife212 also assigns the tower from the video to the Johto region: “I also see the bell tower next to it, maybe a Johto / Legends Arceus themed season?” (via reddit.com)
  • The reddit user thisguysgaming also points out that a Sinnoh Cup was announced for the GO battle league in January and a Johto Cup in February (via reddit.com). The PvP battles are usually thematically based on the events of the game.

So whether there will be a debut with Arceus or whether the season will focus on the Johto region remains to be seen. As soon as Niantic publishes more detailed information on this, you will find out about it on MeinMMO.

What do you think behind the season of origin? Are you hoping for a release from Arceus or do you find the Johto region more interesting? Feel free to write us your opinion and experience in the comments here on MeinMMO and exchange ideas with other trainers.
