All characters from Arcane in the ranking – from unpopular to popular

In a survey, we from MeinMMO wanted to know which characters you particularly like in Arcane. We evaluated the survey and ranked the most popular characters in the series.

This is what it was about: Arcane is the new Netflix series based on the League of Legends universe. The series started in November and generated a lot of hype. There was also a lot of discussion here on MeinMMO, especially about the end of the first season.

In a poll you could choose which characters you like the most. In total you had 3 votes, which you could distribute to 22 characters or the option “another character”. By the time it was evaluated, 1,246 readers had taken part in the survey and distributed a total of 3,191 votes.

We now present the ranking to you.

Platz 10 – Mel Medara

Number of votes: 63 (1,97 %)

This is Mel Medara: Mel Medara is a councilor for Piltover and the richest woman in town. The Medaras are a well-known family from Noxus, but Mel was expelled from this and sent to Piltover to look at, build up or fail.

In the series, she is very cold and manipulative, especially at the beginning. She makes fun of another councilor with a present for children, but doesn’t seem to do so, and controls Jayce as well. A romance develops between the two over the course of the season, in which many have expected that Mel would only want to use this to her advantage.

In the course of the first season, however, you learn where the cold is coming from. Her mother was a brutal woman and did not hesitate to use violence to get her plans through.

This dichotomy and also the change that Mel goes through during the series seems to have gone down so well with you that it was at least enough for 10th place.

9th place – Jayce

Number of votes: 71 (2,23 %)

This is Jayce: Jayce is a tinkerer who was enrolled as a student at the Academy in Piltover. As a child, he and his mother were caught in a snow storm and threatened to freeze to death. However, they were saved by a magician at the last moment. He gave Jayce a magic crystal.

He researched this for years. But when the gang around Vi broke into his apartment and there was an explosion, he was expelled from the academy. Shortly before his final exile from Piltover, however, he and Viktor managed to get the Hextech crystal under control. That even earned him a seat on the Piltover Council.

He owed his rapid rise to both the theft of a crystal by Jinx and Mel Medara’s efforts. In the course of the series he tried to fight corruption in Piltover, but failed.

That is why he met with Silco shortly before the grand finale to negotiate an agreement. Zaun should get its independence. However, the final vote is rudely interrupted.

8th place – Vander

Number of votes: 167 (5,23 %)

This is Vander: Vander is the foster father of Vi and Jinx. He once led a Zaun rebellion against Piltover along with Silco. Vi and Jinx’s parents were killed in this rebellion. After that he felt responsible for her.

Vander was like the leader in the underground of Zaun at the beginning of the series. People respect him. However, he has suffered so much himself that he has now become older and more bitter. He didn’t want to risk another conflict between the regions, so he reached an agreement with Grayson, the head of the Piltover Guard.

In episode 3, however, he was attacked and kidnapped by Silco. During an attempt at liberation by the gang around Vi, Vander was thrown into a pile by Shimmers and turned into some kind of monster. It is speculated that Singed will turn him into Warwick.

7th place – Heimerdinger

Number of votes: 198 (6,20 %)

This is Heimerdinger: Cecil B. Heimerdinger is a yordle, one of the small creatures that are very common in the LoL universe. He is considered a brilliant genius and excellent scientist.

As head of the academy, he trains young tinkerers and was part of the Piltover council. He was always critical of Jayce’s inventions because he saw for himself what devastating power it had in the Runic Wars.

In the sixth episode he was expelled from the council because he was supposed to “impede progress”. Then he wanders through the alleys of Zaun and is surprised to find out which great tinkerers are hiding in the city.

6th place – Ekko

Number of votes: 295 (9,24 %)

This is Ekko: Ekko is a child prodigy from the rough streets of Zaun. Before he could crawl, Ekko is said to have put together simple machines. In the series, he worked as a child in the tinkerer’s shop owned by Benzo, a close friend of Vander’s.

Ekko tips the gang around Vi and Jinx that they can steal a lot from a scientist in Piltover. However, this very tip turned into a disaster.

After Vander died and Vi and Jinx disappeared, he set up a safe shelter for children and teenagers in Zaun. He also founded the Firelights, which were dedicated to the fight against the Shimmer.
