Total War: Warhammer 3: The world of Slaanesh is presented with video and screenshots

Sega and Creative Assembly represent another faction of Total War: Warhammer 3, which will be released in 2022 (from 47,50€ at buy) before. This time it’s about the chaos god Slaanesh and his followers, who are likely to be formidable opponents on the battlefield. What should one expect from henchmen who worship someone who seeks debauchery, pleasure, pain and amoral joys at the expense of other souls?

These are the developer specifications for Slaanesh and its units:

Legendary Commander of the Slaanesh – N’kari

N’kari, the arch tempter, roams the realms of the mortal and immortal for the ultimate sensation and for ecstasy in its purest form.

On the battlefield, he is an extremely fast and cruel sublime demon who excels as a hunter of isolated enemy characters and units. His unique passive Soul Collector heals him when a nearby enemy unit is wiped out, while his Willing Prey ability significantly reduces melee defense and attack from enemies, exposing them to a quick and agonizing death.

Slaanesh style of play
The demons of Slaanesh make use of their incomparable speed and their armor penetration to sow displeasure in the enemy ranks with raid-like attacks and then to isolate individual units and wipe them out with one quick blow. By killing fleeing units, your armies gain battle currency that can be used for three skills that enhance their play style.

On the campaign map, factions of Slaanesh are spreading the Dark Prince’s hedonistic message at every opportunity. Their mechanics include:

  • Gifts of Slaanesh: Commanders and Heroes of Slaanesh can give gifts to enemy characters through heroic actions or by defeating them in battle. In doing so, they cause a number of negative effects on the unit.
  • Seduction: By increasing the seductive influence, the armed forces of Slaanesh can force target factions into vassalage.
  • Followers: The armies of Slaanesh can gain followers in battle, from Chaos Cults, and by fun activities. Followers are used for the establishment of cults, the raising of armies of the loyal to the faithful, and the creation of vassals.

Units of Slaanesh
As the embodiment of their patron god, the demons of Slaanesh are cruel, graceful and beguiling. The imperious Keepers of Secrets and the Herald of Slaanesh lead the dark armies. Its core consists of cunning and deadly units such as the demonets and Slaaneshbeasts, while the agile soul hunters and hell hunters provide lightning-fast cavalry support.
