Forza Horizon 5 still struggles with memory bugs, crashes and more after the patch
Forza Horizon 5 is struggling with technical difficulties, some of which are said to have even increased since the last patch.
Forza Horizon 5 is great fun when it works the way it’s supposed to. But while some problems have existed since launch, the last patch added some new technical difficulties. Sometimes they are so intense that the game has become almost unplayable for some fans. There are many freezes, crashes, server problems, infinite loading screens and significantly longer loading times. Apparently not only on the Xbox Series S / X, but definitely there too.

This is what it’s about: Actually, the update from December 3rd was supposed to fix the biggest problems and as compensation for the massive server difficulties all players got a bunch of Forzathon points and some wheelspins. But many bugs could apparently not be fixed and since then a few more have been added, some of which are very serious.
More problems after patch? Since the December update, there have been more and more comments online that the Forza Horizon 5 patch has not improved. The playability suffered greatly. It even goes so far that the well-known Forza Horizon influencer Don Joewon Song complains that the game has become “simply unplayable” for him since the update. He’s thinking about stopping completely.

Apparently the content creator has suffered from the known problems: The game sometimes crashes completely when starting and often when leaving the garage, from time to time there are freezes in the middle of the game and when loading, upgrading, saving and buying cars it comes to an infinite number of times – Loading times bug.

There a lot of players complain that the patch is said to have done more harm than good. CruelTeacher, for example, lists five new bugs that shouldn’t have plagued Forza Horizon 5 before the December update:

Problems persist: However, right below the tweet there are several complaints from many Forza Horizon 5 fans who are still struggling with crashes and long loading times, as well as sound problems or a seemingly random freeze of the game. That also coincides with my personal experiences and those of my passengers (shoutout to bronson2158 and the Audo-Clan!): The convoy works more badly than right, in online mode there is no road traffic, races with other players sometimes don’t come at all come about, throw out individual people or freeze.

Weaker, consolation, but still: Forza Horizon 5 developer Playground Games knows all the technical difficulties and is working to solve them. the long list of known problems can be found here on the official support page. This means that there is at least the prospect of improvement as soon as the next updates come. Hopefully they will bring more relief than new problems.
