Warhammer 40k donates part 2 to the legendary “Space Marine”

A highlight of the Game Awards was the return of a short-lived franchise. The original “Warhammer 40k: Space Marine” finally gets part 2.

The Warhammer games are very important to fans. Hardly any other universe is as dark and brutal as Warhammer 40k. It has now been over 10 years since Warhammer 40k released “Space Marine”, a shooter that focused on the iconic characters of Warhammer – the Space Marines.

Now the second part has been announced at the Game Awards, along with a trailer that Warhammer fans should like right away.

What is Space Marine 2 about? Even if the exact story is not yet known, the story should take place after the first space marine game. Titus, a captain of the Ultramarines, is also there again – he is again the protagonist that you steer through the levels.

The main adversary in Space Marine 2 this time are the Tyranids – this is one of the insect-like alien races in the Warhammer universe who love to spread and threaten humans in the process. So there is no question that it takes a couple of decent Space Marines to show these “xenos dregs” the superiority of the human species and to bring them the glory of the God-Emperor.

Is there also a multiplayer? The original “Space Marine” had a very popular multiplayer mode in which the players could prove to each other with bolter weapons and swords who would serve the God-Emperor best. Since the campaign was quite short back then, the long-term motivation was definitely long in the short-term multiplayer, which worked in the best Deathmatch manner.

It is not yet clear whether Space Marine 2 will have a multiplayer mode again – but it would be a waste if the players could not hit each other with chainsaw swords.
