WoW extends the magician tower, gives you a lot more time

The mage tower in World of Warcraft leads to frustration. Blizzard gives you more time to overcome the particularly tough challenges.

There is very little to do in World of Warcraft right now. New content from Patch 9.2 is still a long way off. The only bright spot is the Mage Tower, which is currently active during Timewalking: Legion. Here the heroes of Azeroth can earn special skins and even a chic mount. But the time pressure sits on many people’s necks. Now there was first relief from Blizzard.

What’s changed? Actually, the magician tower should have disappeared again on December 22nd, because then the time wandering ends: Legion. In the official forum, Blizzard has now announced that the tower will remain open much longer than planned. The tower will remain open until January 4, 2022.

That should take some pressure off the players and cause some people to tackle the tower with a different class.

Why did Blizzard do this? There was no precise explanation from Blizzard. However, it seems obvious that the developers should extend the event, as there were numerous problems in the first 5 days. For many classes, the magician’s tower seems almost impossible to create. Many hotfixes have already reduced the first hurdles and adjusted the balancing. But more adjustments are still appearing every day because the tuning is simply not yet optimal.

A second reason is likely that Blizzard wants to create another incentive with the magician tower over the holidays to take a look at World of Warcraft.

What about the other events? Although the Mage Tower will be active longer than planned, the other weekly events will not be affected by the adjustment. They now simply overlap with the magician tower, so that basically two events will be active at the same time.

Have you already mastered the Mage Tower and earned the skins? Or do you fail because of the high level of difficulty and bite your teeth on it?
