System Shock: Remake has found a publisher

It has been known for some time that the Nightdive Studios team was working on a remake of the science fiction classic System Shock (from 19,98€ at buy) works. However, there was no publisher for the release – until now.

According to a recent press release, the developer studio recently signed an agreement with Prime Matter. This is the premium label of the publisher Koch Media, under whose banner the remake of System Shock will appear in the course of next year. A specific release date has still not been set. But at least the publishing framework for the game has now been secured. Further details on the publication should follow in the next few weeks and months.

Stephen Kick, the founder and managing director of Nightdive Studios, is delighted with the deal: “System Shock was really close to our hearts and our goal has always been to deliver a game that is as close to perfection as we can get. We are excited to work with Prime Matter to achieve this goal and see this as an important step in the growth of Nightdive Studios. It will enable us to bring System Shock to fans around the world in both digital and physical form and to honor our commitments to our fans and especially to our thousands of supporters on Kickstarter, without whom this game would never have been possible. ”

The games that have already been or will be released under the Prime Matter label include Iron Harvest, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, King’s Bounty 2, The Last Oricru and Encased.
