Genshin Impact: The best builds for Arataki Itto at a glance

Arataki Itto has been in Genshin Impact since December 14, 2021. The strong 5-star geo-fighter deals heavy damage when he reaches for his club. MeinMMO shows you how you can best equip Itto.

The geo-hero is a classic “hit it” character who can be played fairly easily with a little practice. All you have to do is make sure that you execute his deadly slashers at the right time.

This is how you use Itto’s skills correctly: Itto’s goal is to use his “Arataki Kesagiri” slot as often as possible. If you damage the enemies with the 2nd and 4th strike of Itto’s standard attack combo, you collect 1 and 2 stacks of “super strong superpower”. The 1st and 3rd strikes do not have to hit any opponents so that the 2nd and 4th strikes accumulate stacks.

You have to collect 5 stacks to complete the complete “Arataki Kesagiri” slicer combination. If you hold down the mouse button, he performs this combination and strikes faster than usual. In addition, Itto does not need any stamina.

This is followed by a finisher who also pulls out a lot of damage again.

You can get additional stacks of “super strong superpower” by using Itto’s elemental ability. The little bull “Ushi”, which you conjure up with it, attracts the attention of the opponents and gives Itto 1 stack each, if:

• He is hit
• hits an opponent
• or disappears from the field.

So it’s worth calling Ushi during the standard attacks to get up to 5 stacks faster.

Tip: The combo with its standard attacks is not interrupted by running or using the elemental ability.

Itto’s important skills, talents and constellations

Which skills are relevant? In addition to his normal attacks and the heavy blows with the “Arataki Kesagiri” slicers, his special ability is another damage output that Itto does not want to do without.

During the special ability, every 1st and 3rd stroke with his club gives 1 stack of “super strong superpower”. If possible, you want to activate his special ability with 5 previously collected stacks in order to be able to deal massive damage directly.

Which talents should you level up first? Priority is given to his standard attacks and his special ability. Ushi brings up the rear, but it is worthwhile to bring all talents to at least level 6 and higher.

Which constellations bring itto a lot? Itto has excellent potential on 0 unlocked constellations (C0). However, his C1 can be useful: It gives you 2 stacks of “super strong superpower” when you use Itto’s special ability.

In addition, a second later, in no time at all, you get 3 more stacks. With the C1, you don’t necessarily have to be careful about taking 5 ready stacks with you in the special ability, because you get them almost directly anyway.

His C2 further boosts his special ability and reduces the cooldown time. You also get extra elemental energy. This makes it easier to recharge your special ability. The bonuses depend on the number of geo characters on the team.

For those of you with enough veteran: C6 increases the critical damage of Itto’s violent strikes by 70% and it consumes 50% no stacks of “super strong superpower”. An extremely strong buff, in addition to its already high damage.

Useful weapons for Arataki Itto

The weapons have been sorted in order of strength and usefulness. In addition, we always assumed a degree of refinement 1.

1. – Rothorn-Steinbrecher: The signature weapon is the best weapon for Itto. It gives you massive critical damage and increases your defense by 28%. It also increases standard attacks and heavy strikes based on 40% of Itto’s defense.
2. – Available in the Battle Pass, Bone sword: Increases the critical hit rate (KT) in addition to Itto’s own KT value. Together you already get a value of 51.8% KT when the sword and Itto are at level 90. With a Shielder you can also use the attack buff of the bone sword without any problems: If you are on the field for 20 seconds and take no damage, your damage increases by 30%.
3. – Heaven’s pride: Gives Itto the necessary charge rate if you can’t reach it with artifacts and causes additional, valuable damage with its vacuum blades.
4. – As a Free2Play variant, craftable at the blacksmith, white shadow: Can increase your defense and attack by a total of 24% when you hit with standard attacks and heavy strikes.
5. – Available in the Paimon shop, Black stone cutting edge: Above all, gives you additional critical damage.
6. – White iron greatsword: For beginners who are at the beginning of the game or those who do not have a suitable other weapon.

These artifacts are well worth it on Itto

Which artifact set is the best? The “Bowl of Lush Dreams” set is the best set for Itto.

• 2-Piece Set Bonus: Increases Defense (VTD) by 30%.
• 4-piece set bonus: If the character who has equipped this set is active, he collects 6% VTD and geo damage every 0.3 seconds as a bonus when he causes geo damage. If the character is inactive, he gets the bonus every 3 seconds. The bonus can only be triggered 4 times in a row. This means that the maximum potential is 24%. If the effect is no longer triggered, a bonus of 6% disappears every 6 seconds.

Are there alternatives? The “Inverted Meteor” artifact set could offer an alternative. If you have a character on the team who distributes shields, Itto could use the useful 4-piece set bonus. So get 40% more damage if you attack with standard attacks and heavy blows. Itto mainly does that.

Still, it doesn’t surpass the “Bowl of Lush Dreams” set. Whose bonuses are too valuable.

What stats do the artifacts need? Since Itto’s strength is mainly based on geo-damage and defense, it is worthwhile to increase accordingly. Attack is not entirely useless on him so that he can deal reasonable basic damage, but far less important than with the usual main DPS.

You should prioritize these sub-stats:

• VTD%
• KT, ideally in a ratio of about 1 to 3 compared to KSCH. Example: 50% KT and 150% KSCH.
• KSCH
• Charge rate until you own about 130% to 150%. Depending on whether you have a character on the team who collects elemental energy particles for Itto (battery). If you don’t have one, you are better equipped with a higher charge rate than with less.

Arataki Itto as a team member

Which teams does Itto fit into? Itto is particularly suitable for teams with additional geo-characters. You also have to make sure to give him a battery with him on the way, in case you notice that your special ability is not charging fast enough.

It is important that he can use his special ability undisturbed or collect stacks of “super strong superpower” while he is on the field. Zhongli or Diona can help him as Shielder.

In addition, it is not wrong to have a healer on the team. Gorou can heal with C4, but that is not enough against strong opponents or the corrosion effect.

Geo-Team:

• Arataki Itto, als Main-DPS.
• Gorou, as a supporter and sub-DPS – he buffs both defense and geo damage as soon as there are at least 3 geo characters on the team. Gorou himself is one of them.
• Albedo, as an additional Sub-DPS or Zhongli as Shielder and Sub-DPS.
• Movable unit.

The “movable unit” can be filled either with a 4th geo team member or another character. Diona offers herself because she can heal and give shields to her comrades. Equipped with the Favonius Bow, she can generate additional, useful elemental energy particles. In this way, she helps her colleagues to be able to use their special skills again more quickly.

Other moving units that can be useful:

• Kazuha / Saccharose / Venti: To pull opponents together and hit them comfortably with Itto. Itto even hits the enemies in Venti’s special attack. Sucrose can equip the book “From the heroic deeds of the dragon-slayer” to increase the damage when replacing it on Itto.
• Jean: Also has crowd control and can heal her teammates.
• Geo / electric traveler: Additional battery and Sub-DPS.
• Bennett: Heals the team and increases their damage. C6-Bennett can be a hindrance if you want to carry out neutral attacks with Itto, he converts them into pyro attacks in his special attack field.
• Barbara: Heals the team and can also equip the book “From the Heroic Deeds of the Dragon Slayer” to boost Itto’s attack.
• Fischl or Xingqiu: Further off-field damage.
• Ningguang: Additional damage and buff option for geo damage from her ability.

Arataki Itto is definitely THE new main DPS in geo-teams and can do a lot of damage. However, he needs support from other geo-characters in order to develop his full potential. The hero is more likely to drown in element teams.
