We’ll introduce you to the new titles in a nutshell:

  • Altered Beast: Sidescroller Beat’em Up in which you transform yourself into a different, divine beast in each level.
  • Dynamite Headdy: Jump ‘n’ run with a main character who uses his head as a weapon.
  • Sword of Vermillion: An RPG with a fantasy setting in which you move through 3D dungeons with real-time battles.
  • ToeJam & Earl: Isometric adventure with cool characters and a co-op mode.
  • Thunder Force 2: A shoot ’em up that lets you shoot opponents from above as well as from the side.

When will the new games be added? As the trailer reveals, the five Mega Drive titles are not long in coming. From now on you can download the update and then play the retro games.

Excitement Expansion Pass: Since the announcement that N64 and Mega Drive games will be included in the service, there have been many discussions about the Switch Online expansion. This is mainly due to the price, which has been doubled. Instead of 20 euros, you can now pay 40 euros for a single membership and get exclusive access to the two old consoles. There is also the Happy Home Paradise DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which everyone gets with the expansion at no additional cost.

Nevertheless, this is simply not enough for many at the price and the whole thing is not only met with approval in the GamePro community. In a survey we asked you what you think of the expansion and almost 85 percent found the price for the subscription too high. In retrospect, there was one possible reason for the enormous increase from a well-known insider who chatted a little out of the sewing bag:
