Before Christmas, CoD Vanguard and Warzone are a “pile of broken glass full of bugs”
Call of Duty is currently in an important phase: Not only has Season 1 of Vanguard and Warzone Pacific recently brought the biggest changes to the popular Battle Royale. Thanks to Christmas, more players will be able to spend a lot of time with CoD. But the community believes: The franchise has never been worse.
Both the developers and fans of Call of Duty have expected an exciting reboot for the franchise with Vanguard and Warzone Pacific:
With Caldera came the first completely new map for Warzone since release; Vanguard wanted to delight fans with a return to fast-paced gameplay of the most popular CoDs. A new anti-cheat should also improve the gaming experience in both games.
But despite these attempts to improve and refresh the gaming experience for the fans, frustration prevailed shortly before Christmas. Both Warzone and Vanguard suffer from many problems – some of the same.
The CoD fans therefore believe that the shooter franchise is doing worse than ever. Some players also see this as a reflection of the structural problems with the developers themselves.
Warzone is “in the worst condition it ever was”
What are the problems of CoD Warzone? Since the map was changed from Verdansk to Caldera, fans can hardly recognize Warzone anymore. Bugs, unfulfilled expectations, a disappointing map for many – players find Warzone “in the worst shape it ever was” (via reddit).

Does the CoD annoyance come from the problems at Activision Blizzard?
These lists show that the problems and complaints are mirrored between Warzone and Vanguard. The community also connects this with the ongoing problems at Activision Blizzard itself. Among other things, game testers at Warzone developer Raven Software were supposedly fired for no reason. To what extent the problems of CoD directly reflect those of Activision Blizzard cannot currently be assessed from the outside.
