It’s all about this: The Twitter account PlayStation Game Size has now announced the download size of Aloy’s next adventure Horizon Forbidden West. This is not an official Sony account, but it is a reliable source of upfront information about how much storage games will need.

The download size is given as 96.35 GB. That’s a decent house number, looks for a huge open world title, packed with dangers and secrets, but quite realistic. For comparison: Horizon Zero Dawn only needs about 50 GB.

Caution: the number is not necessarily exactly exactly. Day One patches are not included. In addition, the PlayStation Game Size account itself indicates that the actual download sizes on the consoles are sometimes a little smaller (10-20 GB) than stated in the database. But we can at least roughly expect a number in this range.
