PS Plus in January 2022: The new free games have leaked

PS Plus is an important component for many players on the PlayStation, as it is required for multiplayer. But the monthly games in particular are an incentive for many and there will be new titles again next year. Now there has been a leak, which means that we know what we can look forward to in January 2022.

PS Plus in January: These are the new games

As in the last few months, there was another leak on the Dealabs website. Accordingly, there will be the following three games on PS Plus:

Iis the leak trustworthy? For several months there has been a leak from Dealabs every month, which always takes place a few days before the official announcement. These have been correct every time so far, so there is no reason to doubt the lineup for January 2022.

When will the Games officially announced? Sony announces the PS Plus games always on the last Wednesday of the month. This time it would be on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021. So the leak for the January games took place very early.

Deep Rock Galactic

That’s what it’s about: Deep Rock Galactic is a shooter that combines a bit of the typical action with survival and crafting. In a team of up to four dwarves, you have to meet a goal together, such as mining a certain number of resources. On the way there you face hordes of monsters in randomly generated caves. This means that each round is played slightly differently.

Persona 5 Strikers

That’s what it’s about: Persona 5 Strikers is the direct successor to Persona 5 and follows on shortly after the events from the main game. But instead of fighting turn-based in a JRPG, this time you have to fight your way through the dungeons in real time. So that this doesn’t run as bluntly as in other games by the Dynasty Warriors makers, you still have RPG elements, such as elemental damage, skills, mana points and more.

Since Strikers and Persona 5 Royal were in development at the same time, the action game in the story only refers to the original offshoot. So you won’t meet the new characters from Royal.

Dirt 5

That’s what it’s about: Dirt 5 is, as the name suggests, another off-road racing game series. In this you can expect action-packed races through environments such as Rome, China, New York or Norway. The controls are based more on arcade games and are also suitable for those who don’t like simulations – but it can also be set significantly more difficult with different driving aids.
