This is how the Virtual Bundesliga works

The Virtual Bundesliga is an online tournament organized by the DFL and the game provider EA. The soccer simulation FIFA is played. Divided into two divisions (north-west and south-east), 26 clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga compete against each other in two-legged matches – all on the game console. There are three matches per game day between the two clubs: two singles, each on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S / X, and one double. A club receives three points for each game won. A table is created, which is used to determine the participants in the final tournament, where at the end the title holder will be chosen in two groups, semi-finals and a final.
