Nice story: A grandma accidentally gets 6 Switch OLED consoles and is allowed to keep them

At Christmas time we keep hearing beautiful stories about nice gestures and generous gifts. Usually these have nothing to do with consoles. Last year in particular, the delivery problems for PS5 and Xbox Series X gave many people a nasty surprise instead. But this year we have a heartwarming story about six Switch OLED consoles and – believe it or not – eight grandmothers for you.

Wrong delivery of 6 consoles

It’s all about this: You have probably already received a wrong delivery yourself. In most cases we find it just annoying and so it must have been for an elderly lady from Phoenix, Arizona in the beginning. She received like us in one YouTube video from 12 News experienced, a large package with six Switch OLED consoles, i.e. Nintendo’s latest improved model, which she had not ordered.

Wrong delivery: The woman was not to blame. She hadn’t ordered one of these. Instead, it was a wrong delivery. Target had simply mixed up the address when sending the package. The woman then tried to solve the case and return the consoles – but to no avail. The problem here was probably the separation between the local shops she went to and online retail.

In the end, however, two Target employees rang the doorbell of the woman who assumed that they would finally pick up the package that was standing in her way. But it got even better: The two told her that she could keep it. The woman could hardly believe her luck and tearfully asked if it was a joke.

Perfect Christmas gifts: You might be wondering what an elderly lady should do with six identical game consoles. But this woman has a good use for it. She is a grandmother of eight and sends the Switch consoles to her grandchildren.

Since they live in Chicago, the woman – according to the news anchor – wants to check their mailing labels three times. So we can only hope that everything goes well with this delivery and that there are no disputes with eight grandchildren and six devices. But a solution will definitely be found – and the kids certainly didn’t expect so many big presents.
