The Witcher 3: Funny video shows a slightly different kind of ‘headshot’

As in this video, you have probably never killed an opponent in The Witcher 3.

Anyone who has played The Witcher 3 knows that choosing the right weapon is critical to winning a battle. With the silver sword we go on the hunt for monsters, while we face humans and humanoid opponents with the steel sword – at least that’s the theory. A fan happened to use a different and absurd method and captured it in a video. You have definitely not eliminated an opponent like this.

Warning, dangerous head!

It’s all about this: The Witcher 3 fan RussianNixon shared a funny video on Reddit. The clip shows Geralt fighting a couple of bandits. So first of all nothing unusual. For this kind of skirmish we should use the witcher steel sword, which is effective against human and humanoid enemies. But by chance RussianNixon discovered a much more morbid “weapon”, even if the steel sword somehow belongs to it.

This curiosity can be seen in the video: At the end of the fight, Geralt is not yet fighting two opponents. He chops off the head of the penultimate one – and it becomes a missile completely unintentionally. The loose head hits the last remaining bandit in flight, who is killed directly by the impact. At least that’s what it looks like. The community is not entirely sure.

More from the Witcher universe:

Most fans agree: It looks really funny. But whether it was actually the flying head that killed the bandit and whether it is even implemented that severed heads can cause damage – the fans are not so sure. The animation is about a finisher.

But just perfect timing? Some fans think that it wasn’t actually the “headshot” that killed the last opponent, but that he was also hit by Geralt’s finisher or when he was swinging his sword. This cannot be determined exactly with the clip. But as waltherppk01 aptly put it:

Yes, finishers can hit more than one target, but it’s much funnier to think that you took down one guy with another dead guy’s head.

The timing is definitely perfect and actually this type of weapon would also go well with the witcher’s often morbid humor.

What do you think of the “headshot”?
