New World: This is how you can earn lots of thalers, especially with the winter event

In New World, the winter event runs until January 11th. In this way you can earn a lot of competence, but above all a lot of thalers. We’ll tell you how to do it.

How do you earn many thalers with the event? Basically, the winter event already brings you 300 thalers every day by simply interacting with three trees of light. One of these trees is in each settlement that can be conquered by players.

So anyone who simply travels through three settlements has already made good money and can at the same time strengthen their expertise in endgame equipment.

But during the event you can also earn winter tokens that can be exchanged for equipment, housing content or buff food. And this is exactly where you can also make good money.

Earn thalers with winter stamps

How exactly do you earn talers with winter stamps? There are two methods that will bring you thalers. Variation 1 relies on the buff food, more precisely on the Schnabulierwickel and also on the cozy cake.

You can get the buff food for 2 winter stamps and it increases your concentration or your strength by 33. That is a good value, but a little less than the best buff food in the game. This brings 40 additional attributes each.

However, this buff food costs a lot of dollars:

  • Blackened lava barbel with corn succotash costs between 350 and 900 thalers, depending on the server, and brings 40 concentration
  • Grilled gnufish costs between 180 and 400 thalers, depending on the server, and is 40 strength

The buff food from the winter event has fewer attributes, but also costs significantly less. In the trading post it is usually offered for 6 to 15 thalers, which currently corresponds to a profit of 3 to 7.5 thalers per stamp.

But after the winter event, it is very likely that the price of the buff food will rise. It is quite possible that it can then be sold for 50 or even more thalers. A bit of speculation is the order of the day.

Variant 2 aims that you buy the epic equipment from the winter trader. These cost 50 winter stamps and are then tied to you when you buy them. However, you can recycle them, which will bring you a few thalers and 1-4 orichalcum bars.

On average, you get 2.5 bars, which you can sell for around 25 thalers each. So that brings you a little more than 1 thaler per winter token.

However, you can keep the raw materials you have won and use them for crafting yourself. This saves you possible fees in the trading post and can significantly increase the value of your thalers again.

The YouTuber Kibbles drew our attention to these earning opportunities. In his video he shows exactly how the tips work. However, he has given his high prices, which are at least significantly lower on the EU servers Styx and Acturus.
