2-shot kills and 0 recoil – New LMG setup in CoD Vanguard plays fabulous

Light machine guns in Call of Duty: Vanguard give you huge magazines and a lot of damage, but often lag behind the competition when it comes to movement and control. A range setup of the Bren, however, offers you almost perfect precision and simple 2-shot kills.

The action shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard has a very short time-to-kill and many crazy weapon-attachment combinations to kill opponents even faster.

This includes a setup of the MP40 that kills with 2 shots, but also a setup of the assault rifle robot that fires opponents out of the picture with a high rate of fire in 3 shots – read about in our list of the best weapons from Vanguard.

Now there is another weapon on this list of surgical weapons that have prevented a proper weapon balance since the start of Vanguard: The LMG Bren can provide you with perfect precision and kill enemies with 2 shots. MeinMMO shows you how to do it.

CoD Vanguard: Bren setup without mercy

How does the setup look like? You get the high damage and the outstanding recoil from the combination of 3 things:

  • Sets the Bren to single shot in the match
  • Pack the first run (Eisenschild or Oak & Shield)
  • Uses a .50 BMG magazine

We have put together a complete setup that supports the strengths of the combination:

  • Muzzle: mercury silencer
  • Barrel: oak shield 590mm 2B
  • Visor: MK3 solar filter
  • Shank: Shank removed
  • Underflow: SMLE pistol grip
  • Magazine: .50-BMG 50-round magazine
  • Ammunition type: hollow point
  • Handle: fabric handle
  • Skill: dexterity
  • Kit: Parat
  • Finish: Mercury Silencer
  • Lauf: Oak & Shield 590mm Model 2B
  • Visor: MK 3 Sunfilter
  • Schaft: Removed Stock
  • Underflow: SMLE Pistol Grip
  • Magazin: .50 BMG 50 Round Mags
  • Munitionstyp: Hollow Point
  • Griff: Fabric Grip
  • Skill: Sleight of Hand
  • Kit: On-Hand
cod vanguard bren setup 2 shot without recoil

What makes the setup strong? The little trick with switching to the single shot mode turns the rumbling weapon with a lot of recoil into a tame device with a lot of patience. After a shot, the Bren quickly returns to its starting position.

Together with the 2-shot kills, the LMG plays fabulously at long distances and the Bren keeps the damage up to almost 65 meters with our setup.

If you grab the “hollow point ammunition”, it doesn’t matter where the two hits are on the enemy. Even toe hits send your enemies into respawn.

What is not so strong? Because you save attachments to reduce recoil, the sprint-to-fire speed can be slowed down to a comfortable level – at least for an LMG.

But that doesn’t apply to your visor speed and that makes the Bren feel a bit lame.

CoD: Vanguard has been on the market for approximately 2 months and still has many powerful weapon options that don’t exactly contribute to a fair balance in the game.

The generally already low time-to-kill hides the problem a little. But experienced players will always have an advantage if they know the strongest options and save another bullet for a kill. If you are not exactly focused on weapon levels, you should always use one of the OP options.

It’s not just the guns that cause trouble. The new grenade snaps out on the small maps: New grenade in CoD Vanguard is completely OP, turns maps into a hell of a sea of flames
