Battlefield 2042 fan plays 300 hours for 10 skins – “Are you okay?”

Leveling up in Battlefield 2042 is very time consuming. A Battlefield 2042 player still unlocked the last skin for all 10 specialists in the game. This task is so annoying that other fans are worried about the player.

In Battlefield 2042 there is a championship system for all weapons, vehicles and specialists. With this you can unlock special skins as soon as you reach Tier 1 (also called T1). There are currently 10 of these T1 specialist skins available – one for each of the 10 Specialists currently in the game.

A user on reddit with the name “geometriceccentric” has now activated all T1 skins. For that he has to own statement about 300 hours played. That’s around 4 hours of average playtime every day since Early Access on November 12th.

geometriceccentric had to grind specifically to unlock all skins. Because these are unlocked via the championship level, which you don’t get with all specialists.

How do you unlock these skins? You unlock the T1 skins by reaching mastery 40 with a specialist. The championship levels in Battlefield 2042 are comparable to a mixture of the Camo Challenges and the Prestige system in Call Of Duty.

You have to complete a special task for each specialist in order to level up. These tasks go up to championship 40, with which you have reached T1 with a specialist. There you switch the skin with the name ‘1. Level ‘free and thus also the currently last available skins for the specialist.

These tasks are related to the skills of the specialist. For example, to reach 40 with Sundance Championship, you would need to collect 1,200 kills and assist with Sundance’s Smart Explosives.

You can continue to meet these challenges beyond Mastery 40. So you unlock further championship levels. But you can only brag about them – there are no additional skins after level 40.

Other players are malicious and worried

Battlefield 2042 is currently very unpopular in the community – over Christmas it even had fewer players for a short time than its predecessor, Battlefield V. Leveling up the championship can also be very difficult and time-consuming. Therefore, several users in the reddit thread alternately made fun of the player, expressed concern and checked whether everything was okay.

Surprising specialist was the most difficult task

When asked which skin was the most difficult to unlock, the player had a surprising answer:

Despite its great popularity with the players, Sundance was the most difficult task for geometriceccentric. Other players recommend playing for Sundance Breakthrough and flying into groups of players – that’s torture, but the most efficient method (via reddit). Irish was also a difficult task for the grinder.

On the other hand, Falck, Mackay, Angel, Rao and Dozer are said to have been surprisingly simple.

It is up to you whether it is worth doing this yourself. However, the player said that, contrary to the generally negative mood, he was having fun with the game.
