New MMORPG will be released in January – Comes with an interesting combat system
The new MMORPG Broken Ranks now officially has a release date. It will be out on January 25th. The game already convinced in trailers with an interesting combat system and the promise of varied dungeons and raids. We at MeinMMO summarize everything important for you.
What kind of game is this? Broken Ranks is a new Free2Play MMORPG from an ISO perspective, similar to Lost Ark. You move through a landscape that looks like a painting and doesn’t offer as much depth as classic 3D MMORPGs. The game will only be released for the PC.
The combat system is also special, because it is turn-based. As soon as you attack a monster in the open world, you are brought into a separate battle screen. There you have 10 seconds each round to choose a skill and a type of defense.
The same combat system also applies to enemies in dungeons, bosses or players in PvP.
Broken Ranks would like to offer the following game content:
- A dark story told non-linearly
- 7 different classes
- Group content such as dungeons and raids
- Guilds
- PvP content, but it takes place in specific areas
- Crafting and trading between players

Broken Ranks reveals details about the release, preload and the shop
When does Broken Ranks appear exactly? As announced today in the official discord for the MMORPG, the release will take place on January 25th at 5:00 p.m. German time.
The preload for the game will start on January 18th, also at 5:00 p.m. All you have to do is register on the official website (via BrokenRanks).
Will Broken Ranks be released in German? Yes, in addition to Polish and English localization, the MMORPG also has German, Russian and Portuguese.
How is the game financed? Broken Ranks becomes a Free2Play MMORPG and relies on a shop for financing. There you can buy the currency platinum for real money. Platinum is tradable, so you can give this currency away to other players or exchange it for gold or equipment.

Who is Broken Ranks worthwhile for? Broken Ranks is a dark MMORPG with its very own setting. The game world and the combat system will therefore not suit everyone.
