Lost Ark: Where can you play the MMORPG and is it also available for PS5 and Xbox?

The new MMORPG Lost Ark is coming to us in the West on February 11th. The developers as well as the publisher Amazon therefore expect many new players. But they are now asking, will the game also be available for PS5 and Xbox? We at MeinMMO enlighten you.

What platforms will Lost Ark appear on? Since Lost Ark is not a completely new game, but a title that has been successful in Korea for four years, the consoles of the MMORPG will not change either.

This means that Lost Ark will only appear on PC for the time being, even in the West. Unlike the Korean or Russian versions of the game, which each have their own launcher, Lost Ark will appear exclusively on Steam in Europe and America.

A Steam account is therefore mandatory in order to play the new MMORPG from Amazon. On the other hand, you don’t need an Amazon account, while it was mandatory for all beta players.

Lost Ark will be released on PC as a Free2Play title on February 11th. Those who pre-order the Founder’s Packs can get started on the 8th and explore the world of Arkesia.

Still play with the controller: Although Lost Ark will not be released for PS5 or Xbox Series, you can easily play the new MMORPG with any controller on your PC. Lost Ark supports gamepad control and can, more or less well, be played completely with the controller.

So if you want the pure feel of the game, you can simply plug your PS5 controller into your PC and play Lost Ark with it, that’s no problem.

Is the console port coming?

Will Lost Ark arrive on PS5? A future release for the consoles is rather unlikely, but of course not ruled out. If a mobile or console version were planned, this would probably have already been implemented in Korea.

Since that is not the case, we currently do not expect to get a console version of Lost Ark in the near future. No matter whether for PS5 and Xbox Series.

What is the community saying? The desire for a PS5 or Xbox version of Lost Ark is currently not particularly loud. There are a few threads in reddit on this topic, but none of them have a particularly high number of upvotes and many are already several years old (via reddit).

Most seem to be fine with the fact that Lost Ark offers full controller support, while a few players are still longingly waiting for a console release. However, a mobile version of Lost Ark, which is also not currently planned, is in greater demand.

Which PC do you need to play? The system requirements of Lost Ark are, however, extremely low, so that you can play the game with almost every reasonably up-to-date PC. A high-end PC with one of the graphics cards, which are currently heavily out of stock, is therefore not necessary at all.

You can already play Lost Ark with an Intel i3 or an AMD Ryzen 3, 8 GB RAM and a GTX 460. Even on the best settings you only need a GTX 1060 and a Ryzen 5. So it is very possible that even an old PC can still play the game without any problems.
