Manufacturer shows case that can breathe – what does the case for 250 € bring?

At CES 2022, a manufacturer presented a very special PC case. Because the case offers you a fascinating design.

The Consumer Electronics Show, or CES for short, is one of the most important trade shows for consumer electronics. Various manufacturers often present innovations in the hardware sector here. In addition to the major manufacturers such as Sony, AMD and Nvidia, smaller developers are also introducing new products.

One manufacturer is CyberPowerPC. The company mainly produces finished PCs that are then sold to users, but they also have their own cases on offer. Some of you are sure to like one of them. Because it has a special function that also looks really good.

What kind of case is that? We understand kinetic architecture when buildings or objects can move and thus adapt to let in wind or light, for example.

The manufacturer CyberPowerPC is now implementing this principle in its latest housing and appropriately calls its new series “Kinetic Series Chassis.” Because the front consists of 18 movable flaps that open automatically when the PC needs more air, for example because it is too hot will. You don’t have to lend a hand yourself and try out tips if your PC should get too hot.

Inside is a sensor system that checks the temperature of your installed hardware every few seconds and then adjusts the ventilation flaps accordingly. You don’t have to do anything, you can just watch how your computer case literally “breathes”. You can also see how it works in the official video:

The manufacturer himself explains in its YouTube video that the housing can dynamically adapt to any degree. It is not about a maximum of air, but about this special dynamic:

The adjustments are not limited to simply opening and closing, but rather opening and adjusting in real time to every single degree of temperature change. It perceives the environment and is constantly contracting and expanding to adapt to the situation with micro-adjustments.

The developers state on their own website, “We hope this design will spark a creativity surge across the industry that will fundamentally change the way we think about design.”

When does the case appear and what should it cost? The company had announced that it would deliver the case from the 3rd quarter of 2022. With us, this is around late summer or autumn. The price should be around 250 US dollars and should cost around 250 euros with taxes. If you want to buy the case, you should note that there will be import fees on top.

What do you think? Do you like the presented case and would you buy it for 250 euros, or would a constantly moving case make you nervous in the long run? Tell us in the comments!
