New World: Farming bots are close to level 60 and that pisses the players off

New World has had a problem with bots since its release. Almost 3 months later, the collection bots are close to level 60. This makes many players angry and sad. They even have sarcastic “parties” when new milestones are reached.

What’s wrong with the bots? Shortly after the release, the first bots were found in New World. They always follow the same route to collect materials such as ores or plants. The Angel-Bot, which stands in the same place for hours and takes fish out of the water, is also popular.

However, it has now been more than 3 months since the release and some bots have still not been banned. One of them has been fishing 24 hours a day at the same location on the Olympus server for weeks. He is about to become level 60, as the user Shibe_King reveals on reddit.

He has met the bot several times over the past few weeks and has taken screenshots of his level successes. Two days ago he got level 55 just by fishing. His thread received over 1,800 upvotes.

Another user without a screenshot reports that there are already fishing bots on his server that have reached level 60 (via reddit).

Players fight against bots themselves, are disappointed with Amazon

How is the level of the bots arriving? In the thread, the players deal with this “success” differently. Some players report that they have reported this exact bot dozen of times. You are disappointed with Amazon because it hasn’t been banned.

Others are just sad because it is precisely these bots that break the fishing and the material prices so badly that a normal player cannot earn gold in-game with them.

Still others only deal sarcastically with the bot situation. User Donler reports that they threw a “birthday party” for a bot when it reached level 40. You are already planning the next celebration for a hemp collection bot, which is currently level 36 (via reddit).

Players kill or hinder bots: As early as October we are reporting on MeinMMO again and again that the players themselves have come up with creative ideas to disrupt the bots in their work:

Isn’t Amazon doing anything? Yes, because according to the developers, bots are regularly banned. At the end of November, over 7,700 accounts were blocked within a few days.

But that doesn’t seem to be enough to get a handle on all of the bot problems.

What do you think of the New World bot problems? Do you run into the same bots on a regular basis or have you already banned many of them? Feel free to write something in the comments.
