We are getting closer to ‘Ready Player One’: Razer has introduced a gaming chair with haptic feedback

The concept of “immersive gaming” seems to take hold over time. Although we are far from experiencing something in the style of ‘Ready Player One’, next-generation games and the most modern gaming peripherals are committed to taking the user experience one step further. Razer wants to embrace this idea with its new chair with haptic feedback.

It’s about the Enki Pro HyperSense, one of the many products that the American hardware company has presented during its stay at CES 2022. The chair could go unnoticed like any of Razer’s other options, but the truth is that it hides a series of mechanisms that promise to offer a “real world force simulation“.

To create the Enki Pro HyperSense, Razer has partnered with D-Box, a company known for its movie theater seats programmed to move according to the film’s special effects. The result has been a chair with more than 65,000 haptic variations and 1.5-inch mechanical tilt to replicate impact movements.

The heart of the chair is a haptic motor located at its base. This is in charge of simulate vibrations, textures and movements. In that sense, Razer ensures that the Enki Pro HyperSense has native support for 2,200 movies, songs and games, among which are ‘Forza Horizon 5‘, ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘ Y ‘F1 2021‘.

In this Razer product the RGB lights could not be missing, these are located in the company logo located on the headrest and allow the user to personalize their place of play with more than 16.8 million colors. Likewise, the chair has other characteristics inherited from its younger sisters such as a 22-inch seat, ergonomic lumbar support, cushions of different densities, and 4D armrests.
