FIFA 22 just got a huge problem with hackers – even big streamers

There are currently increasing reports in FIFA 22 that hackers are trying to attack large accounts in Ultimate Team. Several well-known streamers and content creators are affected.

What is the problem? Over the past few weeks, there have been an increasing number of incidents in which streamers or top traders report on Twitter that someone has logged into their FUT account. The result: You log in and notice that top players or coins have disappeared.

More cases were added in January. Recently one of the most successful traders in Ultimate Team, “FUT Donkey”, reported in a series of tweets that his account was hacked despite security measures and now all coins are gone.

Another example is the YouTuber and streamer “Nick RunTheFutMarket”, who also only posted a short tweet on January 6th with the content “Hacked, Goodnight” and some sad smileys. To what extent the hack took place is not yet known.

What are traders? The term “trader” in Ultimate Team means players who are extremely good at using the transfer market in FUT and thus earning a lot of coins. You can see when players have good prices to buy and sell and earn a large amount of in-game currency. Exactly such players, with lots of coins and strong cards, are apparently the ones who are targeted by the hackers.

Problems with strong accounts are increasing

The most recent cases aren’t the first where players with particularly valuable accounts have reported being hacked. However, more and more players seem to be having problems.

The German streamer Trymacs had already been hit – and twice. At the end of December, he posted a video showing how his account was virtually emptied for the second time. In the meantime, Trymacs had the best team in the world and invested a lot of money in the game.

We include his video on the case here:

In his video, Trymacs criticizes the fact that the hackers get into his account despite two-factor authentication, email and password changes.

There are also other content creators such as “Bateson87” or, recently, “TisiSchubecH” who report on hacks. FUT Donkey, for example, shared the call for a petition (via change.org), which calls for the issues to be addressed and the security precautions for Ultimate Team to be improved.

Accordingly, the topic in the FIFA community is getting bigger and bigger. Numerous players are also discussing it on the FIFA subreddit and on Twitter.

What does EA say on the subject? So far there is no official statement from EA on the subject. A statement on the hacking incidents was requested and we will keep you up to date as soon as there is anything new on the topic.
