Pokémon GO: Mountains of Power Limited Research – All Rewards

Today, January 7th, 2022, the new event “Mountains of Power” started in Pokémon GO and brings you not only numerous monsters and bonuses but also limited research. We looked at the tasks and rewards for you guys.

What kind of event is it about? The “Mountains of Power” event continues the story of the mysterious door that Professor Willow discovered at the beginning of the season. You will mainly encounter rock and steel Pokémon. Of course, temporary research should not be missing.

When does the event take place? The “Mountains of Power” event started today, January 7th, 2022, at 10:00 am local time. It will end again on January 13, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

What is a temporary research? The temporary research is a type of special research that you can only access and solve for a limited period of time. So, unlike what you are used to from other research in Pokémon GO, you cannot edit it for as long as you want.

The tasks are available to all trainers in their “Today” view, which opens in the map view by clicking on the binoculars. There are two task blocks with three tasks each to be found there during the “Mountains of Power” event. We have summarized them for you below.

By when do you have to have completed the tasks? You have the whole event to solve the tasks. But be careful: You must have redeemed all rewards for these quests by January 13, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. local time, otherwise they will be lost when they expire.

Level reward: Once you have completed all the tasks, you will also receive 2,000 stardust, 10 hyperballs and an encounter with Flunkifer.

Is the temporary research on the “Mountains of Power” event worthwhile?

Due to the shortened distance to find a candy with your buddy, which the event brings you as a special bonus, these tasks should be able to be solved quickly. It will be particularly interesting for shiny hunters, because all monsters can also be found in the game in their dazzling form.

Shiny-Schneckmag celebrates its debut at the “Mountains of Power” event. Flunkifer could also be interesting for one or the other trainer, because this monster is usually only available as a reward from Team GO Rocket fights.

Flunkifer is not particularly strong and it is not one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO, but this is one of the few chances of meeting a dazzling specimen with a little luck.

In addition, Absol and Stahlos, the further development of Onix, are also available as mega forms in the game. So it is worth catching a strong specimen here.
