What do we need to move files from iPhone to microSD card

First of all, since the iPhone does not have a microSD input, the first thing to do we will need will be a way to connect the device storage to our mobile.

Of course, We will need to use a file manager, but since iOS 11 we have the Files app that will allow us to do everything we have to do without any problems. 1. Connect the adapter to your iPhone.
2. Log in to the app Files from your device.

1. Press the file for a second, or press the top three dots and tap on ‘To select‘in case you want to pass more than one file.
2. Once you have everything selected, touch where it says’Mover‘, or if you have selected more than one file, the folder icon that appears in the bottom bar.
3. In the window that has just opened you can select the directory to which you want to transfer your documents. In this case, select the storage unit external that appears.

Sure, we can import photos from our SD card to iPhone, but the opposite case seems to be impossible in the Apple mobile. However, this is not true at all.

You can export photos from your iPhone to SD cardIt just won’t be as easy as Apple designed to import. If you want to have a backup of the photos on your iPhone on a microSD card, just follow these steps:

Step 1: Get your files ready

1. On your iPhone, go to the Files app.
2. In the tab ‘To explore‘, tap on’iPhone‘.
3. Here we go to create a folder called ‘iPhone Photos’ or with the name of your preference. To do this, touch on the three points that appear in the upper right corner and then on ‘New folder‘.

Step 2: Save your photos in the Files app

1. Enter the app Photos from your iPhone.
2. Select all the images you want to export to your SD or microSD card.
3. Tap the share button in the lower left corner.
4. Look for the option ‘Save to Files‘and touch it.
5. In the new window, find the folder you just created within ‘iPhone’.
6. Ready now your photos will be inside the folder ready to be transferred to the microSD card.

1. Log in to the app Files.
2. In the ‘Explore’ section, tap ‘iPhone’.
3. Press for a second on the folder with your photos until the context menu opens.
4. Tap on ‘Mover‘.
5. In the window, select the SD card and press’Copy‘ in the upper right corner.

Depending on the number of files you are transferring to your microSD card, the process could take more or less. How do you know if the files are still transferring? In the upper right corner of the screen you will see a blue circle filling in as the files are transferred. If the icon is gone, the photos have already been transferred. In case it is still filling up, you will have to wait until it finishes before you can disconnect your microSD card from the iPhone.
