Dead by Daylight: Pinhead is finally “coming back”

A killer in Dead by Daylight gets his voice back. This is accompanied by the many offensive jokes that keep coming back.

The killers in the horror game Dead by Daylight are not particularly talkative. Aside from grunting and moaning when stunned, you don’t need to expect much there. There are a few exceptions, however, such as Pinhead. It remained silent for months after its release. Now he’s getting his voice back – and better than ever.

What was the problem? When Pinhead was released 4 months ago, the release was pretty weird. Although the killer was completely playable, all of its voice lines were deactivated after a short time – the killer remained silent. Whether using his abilities or stunning a palette, there were simply no sound effects.

At the time, the players suspected that Behavior would have done it because the voice lines were used for sexual innuendo and numerous memes. Pinhead always said (translated) when he teleported: “The box. You opened it. And I came. “

And because the Internet is the Internet, the “And I came” became the basis for numerous jokes and memes.

However, Behavior has never explained why the voice lines were deactivated. It is believed that this was due to legal reasons.

What happened now On the PTR for the upcoming Patch 5.5.0, the Pinhead voice lines have now been activated again – and it gets even better. It is no longer the “old” voice lines from the earlier patch, but the voice of the original pinhead from the Hellraiser films. Apparently, Behavior has now reached an agreement with the rights holder and is now using the voice of Doug Bradley.
