Pokémon GO: Trainer catches “broken” snails and players think it’s really cool

Due to a glitch, the snail’s stomach of this trainer appears in a completely different color than you know it from Pokémon GO. However, the players from the community really like it. They ask whether it will stay that way all the time.

What is it about? In the Pokémon GO reddit, a trainer shared two screenshots of one of his snails. The user named Liidero suspects that he probably caught the rarest specimen of this Pokémon. The pictures show Schneckmag, which should actually be red, almost completely dark. Only the eyes shine.

“Cool, is that going to last forever?”

This is what the snail stomach looks like: Due to a bug in the game, the snail’s stomach already had the wrong colors on the catch screen. Even in the PokéDex you could see the special shape, which was probably caused by a bug.

Actually, Schneckmag should appear in a bright red. The snail Pokémon is currently in the focus of the community anyway, because for the “Mountains of Power” event, Schneckmag is available as Shiny for the first time. But the shimmering shape shouldn’t appear as dark as in the screenshots from Liidero. We show you what the Shinys look like in the following graphic:

This is how the players react: The special color of Schneckmag is surprisingly well received on reddit. Many people make fun of themselves and write things like “It was probably splashed with water” or “It was probably blown up with dynamite like in a cartoon”

Others showed a lot of interest in the shape and write:

• “Cool! Do you know if that will stay permanent? “
• “No crap, that’s really cool”
• “Man, they should be one of those [Form] really do, because it looks a lot cooler ”

When asked whether the Pokémon will stay in the dark color forever, the trainer answered in the negative. As soon as he looked back at the map and then back into his Pokémon collection, the snail’s stomach was back to normal. That suggests it was really just a graphics glitch.
