Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour Today with Digda and Stardust

In Pokémon GO, the spotlight hour with Digda starts today, January 11, 2022. We’ll show you everything about Shiny, bonuses and the start time of the event. So you are optimally prepared for the lesson.

What kind of event is that? Every Tuesday evening, Pokémon GO has a spotlight hour. A specific Pokémon is then in the spotlight for 60 minutes. You will find it on almost every corner in the wilderness during the event period. There is also a bonus that further enhances the event.

At today’s spotlight hour, the focus is on the Pokémon Digda from the first generation of the game. It belongs to the soil type and can evolve into Digdri.

Spotlight lesson with Digda – Start, Bonuses and Shiny

When does it start? As you already know from previous events of this kind, the spotlight hour starts at 6:00 p.m. German time. The event will run for the next 60 minutes and should then end around 7:00 p.m.

What bonuses are there? You will find Digda at almost every spawn point in the wild during the event. If you light a smoke, most of the time Digda will appear.

There is also a bonus to stardust. Catching Pokémon gives you double the amount of stardust.

Note that this bonus affects all Pokémon catches, not just Digda.

Can you catch Shiny Digda? Yes, you have a chance to find and catch Shiny Digda. In the following graphic we show you the comparison to normal and dazzling Digda.

Is it worth the spotlight lesson with Digda?

This is how strong it is: We looked at Digda and Digdri’s combat stats in Pokémon GO. Unfortunately, both Pokémon are not particularly interesting in PvP in trainer battles or in PvE in raids. The ground attackers simply have far too strong competition for this, such as Knakrack, Rihornior or Groudon.

This is why the event is worthwhile: Aside from Digda, there is a good stardust bonus. If you use the hour, you can fill up your dust reserves.
