Soon you will be able to listen to WhatsApp audios from other chats
It is a function highly demanded by users and is about to officially reach WhatsApp.
WhatsApp audios are becoming more and more popular, but they have a limitation: you cannot leave the chat in which they were sent to you if you want to continue listening to them. For some time we have known that WhatsApp worked on an internal player that would allow us to listen and pause the voice notes that were sent to us, and listen to them from other chats. And now this feature is already available to some beta users.
According WABetaInfo, this function will allow us listen to voice memos from anywhere in the app. So if you are listening to a voice message from a friend and someone else is sending you a text message, you can switch to this other chat and reply to the other person while still listening to the audio.
The new feature is now available on the beta version number 22.1.72 of the messaging app, although at the moment it is only active for some users of the public beta.

As you can see in this screenshot, we can hear a voice note in the chat list: in fact, the voice note that we are listening to will not be discarded when you swipe back or open a different chat.
A long-awaited novelty for WhatsApp
At the moment this novelty is only available to some users of the public beta of WhatsApp for iOS. In the beta for Android it is not yet available. But nevertheless, that it already begins to appear is good news since it could soon be officially launched for all users in a WhatsApp update.
