The realme Pad runs out of Android updates without having reached the year of life

If you have a realme Pad, do not expect it to update to Android 12, the company itself has confirmed that they have no plans to update their tablet to this version of Android.

When choosing an electronic device, many factors must be taken into account and, one of them, is the operating system of the computer. In the case of tablets we have several options: Android, iPadOS and Windows. The first two are the most popular today.

Of course, Windows tablets have an interesting market niche, and they are designed for users who want to have all the possibilities of the Windows operating system on a portable device with a touch screen. iPadOS and Android are more generalists.

These two operating systems are eternal competitors, but to date iPadOS, formerly iOS, took the trophy. The arrival, well, the resurgence of Android tablets made users excited with devices capable of stand up to the iPad.

The great promise of this resurgence were Asian manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Realme, both manufacturers launched tablets with powerful specifications and a trendy design. But it really seems to me that it has been forgotten that the operating system and, above all, the updates are something key in these devices.

What has happened is that the company itself has stated that its Realme Pad will not receive the update to Android 12. This news has been echoed in an official forum of the company, in fact, it has been a user who has asked if the tablet will update.

The company neither short nor lazy has commented that no, Android 12 will not come to the realme Pad. The only consolation is that the Android tablet will receive security updates throughout its software life. Come on, during the two years of courtesy it will have security patches.

One of the reasons that iPads are considered the best tablets compared to those that come with Android has a lot to do with the update rate. What has happened with the realme Pad is still a very exaggerated example of something that usually happens with Android tablets.
