A villain in WoW Classic strikes so fast that “spells run backwards”

A little villain sets new records in WoW: Burning Crusade Classic. He strikes so quickly that spellcasters have no chance.

Especially in World of Warcraft Classic and Burning Crusade Classic, “Low-Level PvP” is a world of its own. There are many stories of villains who are so strong, even at level 10 to 19, that they seem almost unstoppable. But instead of specializing in particularly high attack power, a villain has now chosen a different path – he has reached the maximum attack speed.

What happened? In the subreddit of WoW Classic, the player exehntv submitted a clip that shows his villain in PvP situations. His level 10 villain holds his own against other players in Warsong Gorge, up to level 19.

That alone is not that unusual, there are many rogue twinks who are already quite strong at level 10. But the troll villain “Agmget” has a different goal than most other Uber twinks and has focused on one single value: speed.

The villain’s attack speed is a staggering 0.25. That means the villain strikes 4 times per second with each weapon!

Exehntv also found out that 0.25 represents the “hard cap”. The attack speed cannot get any faster, even if he accumulates even more speed.

What is it that makes it so strong? Several aspects ensure that the high attack speed turns out to be absolutely devastating for all adversaries.

  • Many procs of effects: An extremely high number of attacks ensures that weapon enchantments, which have a chance to trigger something with every hit, occur very frequently.
  • Spell Delay: The second aspect is the delay of spells. Every successful melee attack causes enemy spellcasters to “spell pushback” – a delay in the spell that has just been cast. The attack speed of 0.25 makes it virtually impossible for spellcasters to be able to cast a spell at all.

The combination of these two factors – together with the villain’s very good equipment – creates an almost unstoppable killing machine in PvP.

Why does it work? The reason that such an extreme speed works at all lies in the value scaling of World of Warcraft. In Burning Crusade, secondary values such as speed in the range from level 1 to 10 have their full effect. 40 points of speed already ensure an increase of 100%.

At level 70, 40 points pace would only mean an increase of around 2% to 3% pace.

For this reason, many PvP villains are also at level 10 and not at level 19, as this allows them to get the most out of their values.

Community reacts enthusiastically: The video goes down pretty well with the other players. In the WoW Classic subreddit alone, the clip has almost 3,000 upvotes after just a few hours, and this is particularly entertaining in the fight against spellcasters. By the way, you can watch the whole video see full length on YouTube.

The spell pushback here is absolutely ridiculous. You made sure that their spells are cast backwards.

It’s nice to see that even after almost 15 years people are still coming up with new ways to achieve new heights and absurd successes in the twink PvP of WoW Classic (or in this case BC Classic).

What do you think of such villains? Impressive when you meet them in PvP? Or just annoying since they’re ruining low-level PvP?
