GeForce Now brings Fortnite back to iPhone and Android

Thanks to GeForce Now you can now play Fortnite from your iPhone or iPad again.

Years after it was released, Fortnite remains one of the most popular games to come out on mobile, PC, and console. Unfortunately for many users, the game is out of reach of the Apple and Google stores, after the endless legal battle between Epic Games and Apple. Fortunately for some, it is possible to play Fortnite on iPhone and Android again thanks to NVIDIA services.

Nvidia has recently announced that, in collaboration with Epic Games, have managed to install touch controls in the GeForce Now service of the first. If you’re not familiar with GeForce Now, it’s a cloud service from which you can play numerous games with all the power of Nvidia’s top-tier graphics cards. In fact, it is one of the ways to play at 120 FPS on MacBook Pro. What does this mean? That if you are a mobile player and you are part of the GeForce Now service, now you can also play Fortnite from your mobile, without having to download it from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Register now for free for your chance to play the new version of Fortnite on mobile with touch control, all through the cloud! You can be one of the first to access this limited closed beta to help us test the new streaming experience on iOS Safari and Android mobile devices. The new version of touch control means you can jump in and start playing right away with just the screen and your fingers, no gamepad or keyboard/mouse required.

The only negative side of the news at the moment is that only available to a limited number of people, who will be able to access it by invitation. These users will be testing the game’s touch controls and the server’s ability to handle crowds of players. The good side, on the other hand, is that it will be totally free and any subscription level of GeForce Now will be able to access the beta without any difference.

Nvidia has also let it be known that many other games are expected to include touch button interaction. Of course, it will be the developers themselves who will have to add the new feature. If it happens massively, we could see a revolution in the mobile gaming world, and that is that many users will be able to access AAA games without having the necessary hardware to run it.

Join the waiting list to participate in the closed beta. You do not need to be a GeForce NOW member to participate. Invitations to participate will be limited and admission to the beta is not guaranteed.

If you want to have the opportunity to be part of the beta, you can go to Nvidia website and sign up for a chance to get an invite to it. once you do, you will become part of the waiting list for the closed beta, and if you get an invitation, Nvidia will notify you by email. In addition, in the Google Play Store you can get the official GeForce Now application and try all the games it has to offer. In the case of Apple you will have to access through the website using Safari, but it is not something that supposes too much problem.
